Franchise Owners
Curt and Rachel Van Emon
Welcome! We are the proud owners, Rachel and Curt Van Emon, of Primrose School of Woburn!
In 2014, we opened Primrose School of Burlington, the first Boston-area Primrose School. In 2024 we purchased the Primrose School of Chelmsford. We serve families from many surrounding Middlesex County communities – Woburn, Winchester, Reading, Arlington, Burlington, Bedford, Lexington, Chelmsford, Westward and many others!
Our commitment to excellence in early childhood development has resulted in being one of five preschools in the United States to earn the Cognia’s Early Learning STEM certification, and also earning Primrose’s Rising Star and Franchisee of the Year Regional Award. We are delighted to open a second school and provide much-needed child care for the Woburn community.
We both have a passion for education and sought to be involved within the field after college, Rachel having graduated from Harvard University and Curt having graduated from Ball State University. Prior to 2014, Rachel served as the Director of Education for a 500-employee financial services firm. Rachel is also a member of the 2020 National Gold Medal Champion Masters Synchronized Skating team. As parents of two children, we understand the multitude of factors that are considered when weighing different childcare options and the importance of early education to later success.
We are dedicated to positively impacting children’s lives, so they are ready not only for school but for life. We strive to create partner relationships with every family, align on educational objectives (with Personal Education Plans for each child) and provide parents with the peace of mind knowing they have chosen the highest quality care experience for their children.
The Primrose philosophy – “Who children become is as important as what they know” – is pivotal to our decision to be part of the Primrose family and build a second school. We are proud to be aligned with a brand that is consistently recognized as the leader in educational child care. Our exclusive early learning approach balances purposeful play with nurturing guidance from teachers to encourage curiosity, creativity, confidence and compassion. We deliver more than a curriculum; it’s a life-changing early learning experience for children and their families.
We are excited to meet you and your family!

All of our programs are designed in age-appropriate ways to prepare children for kindergarten and beyond.
