We know 1-year-olds are constantly on the move, exploring and learning through play at every turn. Primrose teachers use that energy and enthusiasm to foster cognitive, social, emotional and physical skills through engaging games and activities.

Health & Safety
Our school is committed to high standards of safety and cleanliness as we create a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
- Requiring any children or staff with fever to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 24 hours
- Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
- Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
- Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
- Individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
- Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
- Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
- Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access
Our Toddler Classroom Teachers & Staff

Ms. Emmy Vil
Ms. Emmy Vil is a toddler classroom teacher at Primrose School of Woburn. Since joining the school in 2024, Ms. Vil has brought more than five years of experience working with children, along with the perspective of a current student at Middlesex Community College. She is EEC teacher certified.
Ms. Vil is known for being playful, driven, and kind. In the toddler classroom, those qualities help her connect with children while still keeping the day purposeful and organized. She brings energy to music, movement, play-based exploration, and group routines, while also supporting toddlers as they practice communication, sharing, and early independence. Her continued study reflects her commitment to strengthening her work in early childhood education.
At Primrose School of Woburn, Ms. Vil contributes a lively and caring presence to the toddler program. Her combination of experience, ongoing education, and natural warmth helps children feel ready to participate, try new skills, and enjoy the classroom day.

Ms. Balkis Lara
Ms. Balkis Lara is a toddler classroom teacher at Primrose School of Woburn. She joined the team in 2023 with more than nine years of experience in early childhood care and education. She holds a double major in Psychology and Spanish from Worcester State College and is EEC teacher certified.
Ms. Lara’s psychology background helps inform the way she notices children’s social, emotional, and academic growth, while her Spanish studies add a valuable perspective on language and culture. In the toddler classroom, she supports children as they build vocabulary, practice cooperation, follow routines, and begin using words and gestures to express needs. Her years of experience help her respond with patience when toddlers are learning through repetition and trial and error.
Ms. Lara is dedicated to helping children grow academically and socially. She understands that toddler learning happens through daily interactions, shared play, and consistent guidance that helps children become more confident participants in classroom life.

Ms. Brianna Urena
Ms. Brianna Urena is a toddler classroom teacher at Primrose School of Woburn. She joined the team in 2025 with recent experience as a teacher’s assistant in a preschool setting, giving her hands-on practice supporting routines, group activities, and children’s social development. She is EEC teacher certified.
Ms. Urena is especially interested in social-emotional development in young children. In the toddler classroom, she helps children practice sharing materials, communicating needs, managing transitions, and participating with peers. Her experience leading age-appropriate activities supports toddlers as they build early language, motor coordination, independence, and confidence in group settings.
At Primrose School of Woburn, Ms. Urena brings a thoughtful focus on the skills children need to be successful with classmates and teachers. She understands that toddler growth happens through guided practice, steady routines, and meaningful interactions that help children learn how to express themselves and take part in classroom life.
