Executive Director

Hello, my name is Jamie Keel and I am pleased to introduce myself as the Executive Director for the Primrose School of Atascocita, Primrose School at Crossroads Park, Primrose School of Copperfield, Primrose School of Greatwood, Primrose School at Balmoral and Primrose School of Sugar Land. I started my career in early childhood in 2009 and have worked with Primrose Schools since 2010. I graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, however I continued my education at the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas. It was at the University of St. Thomas where I completed my education coursework and obtained an early childhood through 6th grade teacher certification. I have experience as a Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten Lead Teacher as well as Leadership experience as both Assistant Director and School Director. My husband Adam and I have three amazing children who all attended Primrose. Primrose is more than a school for us; it is a part of our family! I am proud to say I get to work at the very best preschool for infant through kindergarten and after school care for the Northwest Houston, Northeast Houston, Jersey Village, Cypress, Sugar Land, and surrounding areas.

Regional Director

Hi! My name is Amber Rhodes and I am the Regional Director at Primrose School at Balmoral and Primrose School of Atascocita. I have worked with Primrose Schools since August 2013. My experience with Primrose started as an Early Preschool teacher, and throughout my years, I grew a love for teaching more than just children. I am passionate about Early Education and mentoring teachers and leadership members to excel in their education careers. Primrose provides a solid foundation for future educators, and I enjoy being a part of their journeys. Leading and educating fellow employees around me is what I do best.

I have a daughter, Addisyn, who also attended Primrose most of her childhood. Addisyn loves to dance, so I get to spend most of my free time being a Dance Mom and watching her do what she loves most. The rest of my free time is spent eating crawfish and alligator hunting with my family in Louisiana. Geaux Tigers!

I love being a part of this Primrose Family and spending my days with our wonderful staff and families!

Christine Haynes
Director

Hi, I’m Christine Haynes, and I am thrilled to join Primrose School of Atascocita! With more than 12 years of experience as an educational leader, I am passionate about creating a supportive and engaging environment where children, parents, and staff can all thrive. I previously served as Assistant Director at Wesley Day School and as Children’s Ministry Director at Wesley Methodist Church in Beaumont, Texas.

Outside of work, I’m a wife, mom of two, and recently became ‘Tini’ to my first granddaughter (I know, I look way too young for that, but it’s true!). At home, we share our lives with a dog named Jäger and a cat named Meatball. A few fun facts: I love baking, baseball, good food, live music, and thrifting. I’m not a fan of green bell peppers, bullies, foul odors, people not telling me when I have food in my teeth, or jump scares.

I truly believe strong collaboration between school and families is key to helping every child reach their full potential. I am so excited to serve at Primrose School of Atascocita because I can already see how much the staff here love what they do and how deeply they care for the children.

Assistant Director

Hi, my name is Ms. Mikayla Myers! I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. I began with Primrose Schools in 2018 where I was hired as a Preschool teacher. After teaching in the classroom for several years, I realized my strong passion for educating children and helping them grow. Teaching at Primrose has been so exciting and rewarding. I love to see all of the student’s faces light up as they learn new things. In 2023, I became an Education Coach passing on my love of education to our teachers and helping to mentor them in the best way I know how! On a more personal note, I love to spend time with my friends and family on the weekends going to the beach and playing softball. I completed Cosmetology School and it is now a weekend hobby for me.

Hello! My name is Alicia Hanson and I am the new Education Coach here at Primrose School of Atascocita. I have been in the childcare industry since 2016. I started off as an Assistant Teacher and made my way up to Center Director. I love watching children hit their milestones and celebrating with them! My husband and I moved our family to Texas from Minnesota in August of 2024. We are enjoying the change of weather here in Texas compared to the cold Minnesota winters. We have 2 boys who keep us very busy during our free time. Since starting at Primrose, I have seen such a positive growth in both of the boys, and it is such a feel good moment when they love and are excited to come to school. I am looking forward to being able to celebrate all of your child’s milestones with them and you!

I am a proud boy mom and I love spending time with my family. In my free time, I like to… just kidding I don’t have free time. But I do enjoy cooking when time allows it. My son has attended Primrose School of Atascocita since 2021, and he had so much growth that I wanted to be a part of the development of Primrose students. I am excited to establish a bond with each and every student and family to create long-lasting memories.

Toddler A Assistant Teacher

I was born in Houston, Texas, and when I was two years old, my family moved to Chicago. After moving back to Texas, I deeply missed the snow, the cold weather, and especially my grandparents. Growing up, I thought I wanted to become a veterinarian because of my love for animals. However, my educational journey took a different path, and I earned an associate’s degree in criminal justice.

Over time, I discovered my passion for working with children. I truly enjoy teaching them, watching them grow, develop new skills, and become more independent. Being part of their growth is incredibly rewarding to me. In my free time, I enjoy spending quality time with my friends and family.
