Our Preschool Pathways Classroom
Our Preschool Pathways program provides a “bridge” between our Early Preschool and Preschool classrooms for children whose birthdays will ultimately miss the cutoff date for kindergarten entrance. By identifying those children early, we can help them stay with a consistent group of peers through preschool, pre-K and kindergarten.

Ms. Destiny Waite
Destiny Waite is a Preschool Pathways faculty member at Primrose School of Chelmsford with six years of experience in early childhood education and childcare. She holds CPR and First Aid certification and is EEC certified. Before transitioning into early childhood education, Ms. Waite worked in healthcare support roles, where she gained additional certifications and experience supporting individuals with a variety of needs. Her background, along with her experience as a mother, has shaped her patient, relationship-focused approach to working with young children.
In the Preschool Pathways classroom, Ms. Waite creates engaging, hands-on learning experiences that support each child’s growth, independence, and readiness for preschool. She incorporates literacy activities, sensory play, dramatic play, music and movement, outdoor exploration, and fine motor activities into the daily routine. Children practice important self-help and preschool readiness skills such as putting on jackets and shoes independently, following routines, tracing letters, counting, sorting, and participating in group activities. Ms. Waite also focuses on social-emotional development by helping children build communication skills, confidence, and positive peer relationships in a supportive classroom environment.
Ms. Waite especially enjoys watching children gain confidence, discover new interests, and express their unique personalities throughout the school year. Outside the classroom, she enjoys spending time with family, cooking, traveling, creating memories with her children, and being outdoors. Her experiences supporting family members with autism have also strengthened her understanding of the importance of individualized support and adapting learning styles to meet each child’s needs.
