Our Infant Classroom
We know the first year of life can have a big influence on a child’s success in the years that follow. That’s why teachers in your child’s Infant classroom provide a loving and nurturing environment as they lay the foundation for learning. This includes literacy; communication and vocabulary skills to help your infant better express their needs; gross motor skills and sensory development; and emotional well-being.

Our Infant Classroom Teachers & Staff

Emily Mech
Hello! My name is Emily. Helping little ones learn new things and grow into their personalities brings me so much joy! One of my favorite things about working with children is watching them learn, explore, and gain confidence as they discover the world around them.
My favorite children’s book is Oh, the Places You’ll Go! by Dr. Seuss — it’s such an inspiring story that reminds us to believe in ourselves and embrace every adventure life brings. My favorite holiday is Easter, and one of my favorite family traditions is celebrating birthdays with a special dinner for Mom and hanging out for hours — it’s always such a fun and meaningful time together.
At home, I speak both English and German. I have several pets who keep life lively — Rocky, a Pitbull; Lilah, a Husky/Lab mix; and three cats named Mac, Rae, and Oscar.
In my free time, I love gardening, spending time with my friends and family, whether we’re relaxing, laughing, or just enjoying each other’s company.
Rachel Ramsey
Hi! My name is Rachel, and I recently got married in May. I grew up in a military family, which gave me the opportunity to experience different places and cultures. I love traveling, learning about other cultures, and spending time with animals and children. I especially enjoy watching children reach new milestones and being able to celebrate those special moments with them.
I have experience working with children and teens, including working as a nanny. I have also studied psychology and enjoy using what I’ve learned to better understand and support children as they grow and develop. My favorite children’s book is The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and I love Christmas and family traditions, such as making a birthday cake to celebrate Jesus’ birthday. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy creating diamond art and spending time with my pets, Sevro, a German Shepherd/Lab mix, and Cali, a calico cat.

Courtney Torrence
Hi, my name is Courtney, and my family and I recently moved here from Oklahoma. I’ve lived in five different states, including Ohio, and I’m excited to begin this new chapter. I’m a proud mom to a 6-year-old son who has a huge personality and a heart to match.
This is my first year working in a school, and I’m so excited for this new experience and the opportunity to learn and grow alongside the children. My favorite part of working with children is watching them grow, learn, and expand their little minds.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my son and shopping. Some of my favorite things include Halloween, picking out Christmas trees, and reading Anything by Grumpy Monkey. I look forward to getting to know each child and family and making this a fun, positive, and memorable year!
Mariah Yeary
Hello! My name is Mariah, and I am excited to be working with the young infants. I have worked in childcare since 2018 and have experience with preschool, older infants, and as a preschool assistant. I have an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a passion for nurturing young minds. My favorite part of working with children is watching them learn and grow through play, creativity, and daily exploration. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy crafting and reading, and I especially love celebrating Halloween and making reindeer food with my family at Christmas.
Hannah Reid
Hi! I’m Hannah, and I was born and raised in Houston, Texas, where I first started working with children. What began as a summer job quickly turned into one of my biggest passions. I have been working with children for several years and am so excited to help little ones grow and discover their personalities. My favorite holiday is Halloween, and I love spending time with nature. I also enjoy family game nights and celebrating traditions such as Bethane, Litha, and Yule.
