Our Toddler Classroom
An action-packed day full of fun and purposeful play helps toddlers develop Active Minds, Healthy Bodies, and Happy Hearts®. We know 1-year-olds are constantly on the move, exploring and learning through play at every turn. Primrose teachers use that energy and enthusiasm to foster cognitive, social, emotional and physical skills through engaging games and activities.
Nurturing Active Minds, Healthy Bodies, and Happy Hearts

Our Toddler Classroom Teachers & Staff

Ms. Tooley
Hello! I am a pet mom with a passion for people. I love to read and write and one day I hope to be a novelist. I enjoy spending time with my family and traveling the world with them. I believe one kind gesture can change the trajectory of someone’s future. It is a philosophy that I strive to live by every day. In the commotion of the fast-paced world we live in, I try to remember to stop and smell the roses as often as I can!

Ms. Nayeli Campos
I am currently a student at JCCC working towards my future while also raising my beautiful daughter who was born this past May. Becoming a mom has deepened my love and understanding for children, which has always been a big part of my life. Working with children has never felt like a job to me as it’s something that I am truly passionate about. I bring patience, creativity and real-life experience to everything I do. I am excited to continue learning and growing in this field while hopefully making a positive impact on the children and families in my care!

Ms. Tatum Cox
Hello! My name is Tatum. I was born in Virginia and moved to Kansas at 18 months old. As a child, I attended the Primrose School of Leawood. I have always been creative and enjoyed books, movies & music and movement. I earned my B.A. in Writing from Depauw University, a liberal arts school in Indiana. I also studied literature, film & media. In my free time, I enjoy writing fiction & poetry, socializing and spending time outdoors. My favorite classroom activity is reading books to and with the children. My biggest goal as a teacher is to make every child feel valued in my classroom!

Mrs. Short
Hi! I am from Hays, KS. I have been working in childcare for over seven years. I love creating bonds with young children and their families! I am married to my wonderful husband and together we have a two-year-old daughter, Lennon. In my spare time, I enjoy shopping, spending time with my family, watching movies and crafting!

Ms. MacDonald
I have been in the childcare field for over twenty years, even running my own daycare center. My favorite thing about working with young children is giving them a “home away from home” feeling. In my spare time I enjoy cuddling with my dog and cat.

Ms. Friesz
I am currently a Junior at Blue Valley West High School. I am the middle child in my family. I have two sisters and love spending time with family and friends! Once I complete high school I plan on pursuing my degree to become a Pediatric Occupational Therapist. This has been my dream for as long as I can remember!

Mrs. Vandewater
Hello! I am very family oriented! I enjoy spending time with my husband, reading, going to see musicals, traveling (hoping to go to Greece & Spain one day), rescuing dogs and cats as well as doing crafts.
