Health & Safety
Our school is committed to high standards of safety and cleanliness as we create a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
- Requiring any children or staff with respiratory illness symptoms or fever to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 24 hours
- Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
- Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
- Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
- Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
- Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
- Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
- Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access

Mrs. Priscilla Reffner
Since I was young, I have always loved working with children. In high school I got serious about it and took extensive training and participated in an internship on Childcare and Development. Not only did that help me begin my career, but shortly after I graduated, I became a mommy to my daughter Audrey and 24 years later I had my little guy Beau, who is now 2. Also, I am proudly married to a wonderful and handsome man Zach and have three bonus children; Gavin, Gage & Rhett. My love, passion and patience really reflects in what I do; it’s who am and born to be ~ the best mommy, teacher and caregiver I can possibly be!

My name is May and I have worked in childcare for almost three years and have loved every minute of it! I have my teaching certificate as an assistant and early childhood education. I recently just move to KC after living in Colorado the past few years. In my spare time I enjoy sleeping, eating, cleaning, cooking and going grocery shopping!

I am a true introvert. Being around young children brings a true brightness to my days. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and boyfriend. I am the proud “mom” to my two dachshunds, Dexter and Maisie.

Hello! I am an Early Preschool Teacher at the Primrose School of Overland Park. I live in Overland Park with my fiancé and my dog Moose. We enjoy going on walks and spending time at the dog park. The thing I love the most about Primrose is how welcoming and friendly everyone is here. I am so excited to be a part of this upcoming school year, and I can’t wait to meet all of the students and their families!

I love creating a fun, safe and welcoming classroom where children can learn, grow and feel loved every day!
