Through purposeful play, meaningful questions and direct instruction, our Preschool teachers encourage your child to think in new and different ways. Health & Safety
Our school is committed to high standards of safety and cleanliness as we create a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
- Requiring any children or staff with respiratory illness symptoms or fever to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 24 hours
- Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
- Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
- Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
- Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
- Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
- Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
- Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access

My name is Charlotte and I am from KCMO and went to Pittsburg State University for college where I met my boyfriend almost four years ago. Together we have a dog named Pippi who is a Lab mix. In my family I have my mom, stepdad, dad, stepmom and a stepbrother and sister. My favorite color is pink, and I am super excited to start my first “big girl” job as a preschool teacher!

Hello! I am the proud mother to a son and a daughter and my two cats, Frank and Luna. In my spare time I enjoy spending time alone crocheting and watching movies. I love working with young children and learning their different personalities and supporting their learning needs.

Hi! I am so excited to meet you all in Preschool I! I have been working with the Preschool students the past eight years as a Lead Teacher here at the Primrose School of Overland Park. I am happily married to my husband and together we have three wonderful children. In my spare time I enjoy taking walks with my husband, reading and traveling. I love working with the preschool age because I enjoy watching them grow and smile! I am looking forward to sharing all of the wonderful learning moments with your child this year!

Hello! This is my fourth school year at Primrose. I have always felt fulfilled being around children. I have a very deep love for my three cats, Taz, Gus and Twixy. I enjoy spending my spare time watching movies with my husband and snuggling my cats. I am so excited to get to know your child as well as your family this year!

Hi! My name is Tory! I am the mom of two amazing children, Bella & Will. Being a parent has given me a deep appreciation for how children learn, grow and express themselves. I love creating a safe and positive environment where kids feel comfortable being themselves. In my free time, I enjoy playing Fortnite, drawing cartoons and spending time with my kids and friends.

Hi! My name is Delaney and I love working with kids of all ages! I started babysitting when I was 12 years old and have been working with children in various capacities ever since. I recently just graduated with my degree in Human Development and Family Science, with minors in Children in Group Settings and Well-Being. I also have certificates in Child Welfare and Early Childhood Consultation. I will soon be starting to work on my Master’s Degree in Social Work. In my free time, I enjoy reading, spending time with my family & friends and walking my dogs!
Ms. Shields
Hi! I was born and raised in Wichita, KS and am the youngest of three older brothers. After graduating from high school, I pursued my education at the University of Kansas (Rock Chalk!) During my time at KU, I was able to see the Jayhawks win the 2022 championship in New Orleans, experience Super Bowl wins on Mass Street, and met my best friends in the process. I graduated from KU in 2023 and then moved to Overland Park shortly after and I am enjoying my time here!

Hi! I am a quiet and shy person but will open up and socialize the more I get to know people and become familiar with new environments. I have been happily married to my husband for six years and I am a proud mom to my fur baby Zoey; a Blackmouth Cur Shepherd Mixed dog. In my spare time, I enjoy baking, playing games, watching movies and traveling!

Hello, my name is Neelam and I recently moved from Charleston, SC to Overland Park with my family. I have over six years of experience in childcare, two of which have been with Primrose. I love being a part of a team that focuses on nurturing and supporting the growth of children. I am the proud mother to two children, so I truly understand how precious they are. I am excited to meet our Primrose families and to be a part of your child’s journey.
