It was at the University of St. Thomas where I completed my education coursework and obtained an early childhood through 6th grade teacher certification. My husband Adam and I have three amazing children who all attended Primrose. Primrose is more than a school for us; it is a part of our family! I am proud to say I get to work at the very best preschool for infant through kindergarten and after school care for the Northwest Houston, Northeast Houston, Jersey Village, Cypress, Sugar Land, and surrounding areas.

Kelly Finnegan
Kelly Finnegan
Regional Director

Hi, I am Kelly Finnegan, and I am excited to introduce myself as part of the Primrose School Leadership Team and serve as the Regional Director for the Primrose School of Greatwood and Primrose School of Sugar Land. I started working in early childhood education in 2014 in Austin, where I began my search for the perfect preschool for my daughter. In May of 2023, I left my preschool of 9 years to move our family to the Houston area where we have fallen in love with the spirit of community.

My journey in Early Childhood Education has been shaped by countless little hands & hearts! I have worn many hats: teacher, mentor, and now, leader. As a Regional Director, I hope to bring a blend of passion and creativity to our schools. My mission is to create nurturing environments where children thrive, teachers flourish, and families feel like they truly have a partner in their child’s early childhood education.

Outside of the school, you’ll find me, my husband, and our 5 daughters on the road! We are always looking for our next adventure, weekend road trip, or festival! We enjoy stumbling on live music, finding a hidden gem restaurant, and getting together with our friends.

I look forward to providing support for the Teachers and Leadership Teams at our amazing schools!

Jessica Nelson
Admissions Director

Hi! My name is Jessica Nelson and I am excited to be the Admissions Director at The Primrose School of Greatwood and The Primrose School of Sugar Land. My passion for working with children and families began in college where I was drawn to study child development, parenting and adoption. After earning my Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from Auburn University, I wanted to learn more! I continued my education at Purdue University where I earned a Masters of Science in Child Development and Family Studies. I worked as a Family & Consumer Sciences Agent for UGA Cooperative Extension in Georgia and later a private adoption counselor in the Houston area. After taking some time to be a full-time mom, I found my way back to working, eager to benefit young children and their families. I began working at a local part-time parish preschool in 2011, first on staff then as the Director for 7 years. I learned the value of partnering with preschool families in the early childhood years.

On a personal note, my husband, Keith and I have been married since 2003 and we made Greatwood our home starting in 2004. We began our family in 2006 with our daughter Abby and welcomed our son Zach in 2009. When I’m not working, I enjoy time with my family puzzling, building Legos, playing games, and watching movies.

Hi! My name is Natalie and I am thrilled to be part of the team at Primrose of Greatwood! I have four children and have been happily married for almost two decades now! I started my journey in Early Childhood Education and Mental Health in 2006. I have a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and worked for Child Care Licensing back in 2010. I also obtained my Director’s Certificate in 2010.

I have a passion for training and mentoring teachers as well as making a positive impact in our children’s lives. Throughout the years, my children have been in a few different preschools. The decision on where to enroll my children was always heavily weighted. The teachers and staff at Primrose School of Greatwood are very warm, nurturing, and kind! My children love going to school here and I am so blessed to be able to meet you and to give you peace of mind that your children will love it too!! My favorite part of Primrose is that shaping who our children become is just as important to us as what they are learning academically. I’m honored to be here and to contribute to raising the next generation!

Hi I’m Chasity Smith. I am a loving parent of a little girl who is my biggest motivation in life. I found my passion for children when I attended a program in high school that allowed us to teach students in an elementary school. I knew Primrose would be the perfect place to continue my interest in teaching and have been here since 2022. I am currently attending college to further my degree in childcare education. I love the feeling of seeing the light bulb go off in the child when they understand the material I am teaching them. The best feeling to me is knowing I am helping children grow and develop their minds.
