Our Infant Classroom

We know the first year of life can have a big influence on a child’s success in the years that follow. That’s why teachers in your child’s Infant classroom provide a loving and nurturing environment as they lay the foundation for learning. This includes literacy; communication and vocabulary skills to help your infant better express their needs; gross motor skills and sensory development; and emotional well-being.

Health & Safety

Our school is committed to high standards of safety and cleanliness as we create a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.

  • Requiring any children or staff with respiratory illness symptoms or fever to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 24 hours
  • Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
  • Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
  • Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
  • Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
  • Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
  • Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
  • Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access

Hi! My name is Irene. I enjoy working with children because of the direct impact that positivity and love can make in their lives. Also, having the privilege to be able to watch them grow is rewarding. I have been in childcare for over 24 years and it just seems to get sweeter with every year. Outside of work, I like baking sweet treats, cooking and spending time with my grandchildren. Spending time together with family at Christmastime is my favorite! I take pride in my work and caring for the little ones here at Primrose School of Greatwood. I look forward to work every day!

Hey there! I’m Ms. Brittney. I’m was born and raised in Houston – I’m definitely a Texas girl at heart.  I am in college studying Early Childhood Education, and teaching at Primrose gives me such a great hands-on way to learn! I absolutely love being part of the kids’ daily routines and watching them grow each day. In my free time, I enjoy relaxing, going Western dancing, singing karaoke, and hitting the beach with my girls. My daughters Bailey and Blakely and I have fun playing with our sweet dogs, a Cavapoo named Jessie and a Schnauzer named Lola.

Hi, my name is Kirsten! I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. I have two young boys who both get to experience Primrose with me! I love teaching young minds and getting to grow my experience in every classroom by being a support. My favorite activity with students is arts and crafts. My favorite holiday is Christmas, but Thanksgiving also has special meaning in my family. The holidays are a fun family time for us to be together. In my personal time, I like to be with my two boys and practice T-ball with them!
