An action-packed day full of fun and purposeful play helps toddlers develop Active Minds, Healthy Bodies, and Happy Hearts®. We know 1-year-olds are constantly on the move, exploring and learning through play at every turn. Primrose teachers use that energy and enthusiasm to foster cognitive, social, emotional and physical skills through engaging games and activities.

Health & Safety
💙 Toddler Health & Safety
Toddlers are busy, curious, and constantly learning, so our health and safety practices are designed to give them safe opportunities to explore, move, and become more independent.
- 🧼 Frequent handwashing: Teachers and children wash hands throughout the day, including before meals, after toileting, after outdoor play, and whenever needed.
- 🧸 Clean & sanitized toys: Toys, tables, and high-touch surfaces are cleaned and sanitized regularly throughout the day.
- 👀 Active supervision: Teachers continuously supervise children and position themselves so they can quickly respond to their needs.
- 👣 Safe movement: Toddlers have opportunities to run, climb, and explore while teachers reinforce safe walking, climbing, and playground practices.
- 🍎 Safe mealtimes: Teachers closely supervise children while they eat and follow appropriate food safety and choking-prevention practices.
- 🚽 Toileting support: Teachers encourage growing independence with bathroom routines while helping children learn proper hygiene and handwashing.
- 🌡️ Illness awareness: Staff monitor children for signs of illness and follow the school’s health and exclusion policies when a child becomes sick.
- 🧴 Personal care: Diapering and toileting areas are cleaned and disinfected appropriately, and teachers follow proper hygiene procedures.
- 🛝 Outdoor safety: Teachers actively supervise outdoor play and ensure children use playground equipment appropriately.
- ❤️ First Aid & CPR: Staff receive ongoing health and safety training, including required First Aid and CPR certification.
- 🚨 Emergency preparedness: Teachers follow the school’s Safe School Plan and participate in regular emergency drills so children and staff know how to respond.
- 👨👩👧 Family communication: Parents should keep health information, emergency contacts, allergies, and authorized pickup information current and communicate any changes to the school.
Our goal is to give toddlers the freedom to explore while providing the supervision, structure, and care they need to do it safely. 🌟💙

Hi! 🌸 My name is Esther, and I am so happy to be joining the Primrose School of Broadview Heights family as a Young Toddler Teacher! 👧✨ I live in Akron with my daughters 💕, and I have been teaching young children for over twenty years! 🍎 I started at Primrose in November 2025, and I am so excited to be here! 🌈
One of my favorite children’s books is 📖 Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? 🐻🦆🐸 I love reading this story because the children have so much fun making all the different animal noises along with the book! 🐾😊
My favorite part about teaching is watching children begin to understand and apply what they have learned 💡💛. Seeing those “aha!” moments is such a joy and one of the most rewarding parts of teaching!
In my spare time, I love spending time with my daughters 💕, and we especially enjoy watching anime together! 🎥✨

Hi! 🌟 My name is Ari, and I am a Young Toddler Teacher here at Primrose School of Broadview Heights! 👧💛 I was recently married 💍✨, and my husband and I hope to have a family of our own one day. 😊
I have been working in childcare for eight years and joined the Primrose family in 2020! 🌈 My passion is working with children from infancy through kindergarten and helping them learn, grow, and gain confidence every day. 👶📚
I am currently attending Lakeland Community College with the goal of earning my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education 🎓🍎.

Hi! 🌸 My name is Emma, and I am so happy to be here as a Toddler Teacher at Primrose School of Broadview Heights! 👧✨ I am from Canton, and I have been teaching young children for four years. I joined the Primrose family in March 2025! 💛
I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education 🎓🍎, and I will be receiving my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Ohio University in May 2025! 🌟
One of my favorite children’s books is 📖 Barnyard Dance by Sandra Boynton 🐮🎶 because it has such a fun rhythm and rhyme! The children always love dancing along and getting groovy while we read together 💃🕺😊
