Our Preschool Pathways Classroom
Our Preschool Pathways program provides a โbridgeโ between our Early Preschool and Preschool classrooms for children whose birthdays will ultimately miss the cutoff date for kindergarten entrance. By identifying those children early, we can help them stay with a consistent group of peers through preschool, pre-K and kindergarten.ย

Health & Safety
๐ Preschool Pathways Health & Safety
Our Preschool Pathways friends are becoming more independent, curious, and confident every day. We focus on giving them opportunities to learn, explore, and build independence while maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
- ๐งผ Frequent handwashing: Children and teachers wash hands throughout the day, especially before meals, after bathroom use, after outdoor play, and whenever needed.
- ๐งธ Clean & sanitized spaces: Toys, tables, learning materials, and high-touch surfaces are regularly cleaned and sanitized.
- ๐ Active supervision: Teachers continuously supervise children and maintain appropriate teacher-to-child ratios.
- ๐ Safe mealtimes: Children are supervised while eating, and teachers follow appropriate food safety and choking-prevention practices.
- ๐ฝ Growing independence: Children are encouraged to take responsibility for bathroom routines, handwashing, cleaning up, and other self-help skills.
- ๐ก๏ธ Illness awareness: Teachers monitor children for signs of illness and follow Primrose health and exclusion policies when a child is sick.
- ๐ Outdoor safety: Age-appropriate playgrounds give children opportunities to run, climb, balance, and strengthen gross motor skills while being actively supervised.
- ๐ง Learning through play: Our Balanced Learningยฎ curriculum provides developmentally appropriate experiences while teachers support each child’s individual needs.
- โค๏ธ Prepared teachers: Staff receive ongoing health and safety training, including required First Aid and CPR certification.
- ๐จ Emergency preparedness: Teachers follow our customized Safe School Plan and participate in regular emergency drills.
- ๐ฑ Family communication: Parents should keep emergency contacts, medical information, allergies, and authorized pickup information current.
- ๐ Extra clothing: Please keep an extra set of weather-appropriate clothing available for spills, accidents, and messy learning adventures.
Our goal is to give every Preschool Pathways child the confidence to become more independent while knowing they have caring teachers there to guide, support, and keep them safe. ๐๐
Our Preschool Pathways Classroom Teachers & Staff

Ms. Kayla
Hi! ๐ธ My name is Kayla, and I am so happy to be here as a Preschool Pathways Teacher at Primrose School of Broadview Heights! ๐งโจ I live in Strongsville and have been teaching young children for three years. ๐
I attended Trinity High School ๐ and earned my Bachelorโs Degree in Human Development with a concentration in Youth Development ๐๐.
One of my favorite childrenโs books is ๐ If You Give a Pig a Pancake ๐ท๐ฅ because I grew up carrying around a stuffed pig everywhere I went, and I always loved listening to that story! ๐
I truly enjoy teaching young children because their smallest achievements become my biggest celebrations ๐๐. Watching children learn, grow, and gain confidence each day is such a rewarding experience! ๐โจ
I am so excited to be here and cannot wait to get to know you and your family! ๐
Thank you! ๐
Miss Kayla ๐

Gianna recently earned her Bachelorโs Degree in Early Childhood Education from Kent State University ๐ and has a true passion for working with children. She loves watching children grow, discover new things, and become more confident in who they are.
She is especially excited to build relationships with each child and create a classroom where they feel loved, supported, and excited to learn each day. We know Gianna will bring so much enthusiasm, experience, and heart to our Preschool Pathways classroom! ๐๐
