Our Preschool Pathways Classroom

Our Preschool Pathways program provides a “bridge” between our Early Preschool and Preschool classrooms for children whose birthdays will ultimately miss the cutoff date for kindergarten entrance. By identifying those children early, we can help them stay with a consistent group of peers through preschool, pre-K and kindergarten.

Health & Safety

Our school is committed to high standards of safety and cleanliness as we create a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.

  • Requiring any children or staff with respiratory illness symptoms or fever to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 24 hours
  • Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
  • Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
  • Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
  • Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
  • Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
  • Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
  • Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access

Our Preschool Pathways Classroom Teachers & Staff

Janelle Carrasco
Janelle Carrasco
Preschool Pathways Assistant Teacher

Hello! My name is Ms. Janelle, and here are a few things about myself I’d love to share with you!

I’m a digital artist and have been drawing for around 11 years. I spend a lot of my free time playing video games, working out, drawing, and watching shows and films. I’m also a big science and music lover! I love being creative and exploring new ideas, and I enjoy bringing that creativity and curiosity into the classroom.

One of my favorite parts of being in a classroom is engaging with my students and getting to know their unique personalities and interests. I especially enjoy participating in the Primrose Harmony & Hearts program, which gives me a wonderful opportunity to bring my love of music into the classroom. I love watching students sing, dance, move, and express themselves through music while building confidence and developing important social-emotional skills.

I’m excited to create fun and meaningful learning experiences where students can explore, be creative, and feel encouraged to be themselves.

Preschool Pathways Assistant Teacher

Hello! I’m Ms. Amarii. I was born and raised in sunny San Diego, CA, and at 24 years old, I’m proud to say I’ve already spent a decade working with children—a passion that continues to inspire me every day.

When I’m not in the classroom, you can usually find me curled up with a good book or enjoying quality time with my family. I also have a lovable Rottweiler who keeps me active with our daily walks. In my free time, I enjoy shooting hoops and experimenting with new baking recipes.

One of my favorite parts of working with children is getting to know each student as an individual. I love learning about their unique personalities, interests, strengths, and learning styles and finding ways to connect with each child. I believe every child learns and grows in their own way, and I enjoy creating meaningful experiences that help them feel confident, supported, and excited to learn.

I’m excited to bring my energy, creativity, and love for learning into the classroom! I look forward to creating a classroom where every child feels welcomed, valued, and excited to come to school each day.

Our family would love to meet yours.
