Health & Safety

Our school is committed to high standards of safety and cleanliness as we create a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.

Requiring any children or staff with respiratory illness symptoms or fever to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 24 hours
Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access

Ultania Riley

Early Preschool Lead Teacher

Hello, my name is Ultania Riley, and I was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I joined Primrose in 2022, bringing over 35 years of childcare experience, along with a background in children’s ministry. I have four children and five grandchildren, all of whom I love spending time with. Family, friends, and my grandchildren are very important to me, and I cherish the time we share together.

Some fun facts about me include my love for going to the movies, my passion for football (with the Green Bay Packers being my favorite team), and my favorite foods being lasagna and Italian dishes. The best part of my job is witnessing your child’s development. It’s incredible to see them grow and change physically, mentally, and emotionally. Our children are our future, and they need us!

In our classrooms at Primrose School at Balmoral, creativity comes to life as little hands explore bold colors, textures, and techniques. From talking about fruits and vegetables to drawing them on paper, our students are building more than just masterpieces, they’re developing fine motor skills, color recognition, and creative confidence.

Our little learners dive into stories, turn pages with purpose, and explore the magic of books in our cozy Reading Center! Beginning literacy early, lays the foundation for countless skills and lessons, from the development of language to understanding and appreciating the perspectives of others.

Weather with Benjamin the Bear

Each day our Early Preschool friends help to update our weather board with our Primrose Friend, Benjamin the Bear. By observing the weather each day, our students build early science skills, learn about routines, and practice taking turns, all while developing important character traits like helpfulness and awareness.
