Our Transitional Kindergarten program is designed to support your child’s academic, physical, social and emotional development as we help prepare them for kindergarten and beyond.

Health & Safety

Our school is committed to high standards of safety and cleanliness as we create a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.

Requiring any children or staff with respiratory illness symptoms or fever to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 24 hours
Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
Training teachers on common signs of illness in children and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
Individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access

Transitional Kindergarten Teacher

Hi I’m Mrs. Steele. I wanted to tell you a little about myself! I have over 9 years of teaching experience! My family and I love to go camping and have an annual camping trip that we go on. I have one granddaughter named Remington and one grandson named Ryken! I love coming to work and seeing the children smile every day and learn new things throughout the school year! At Primrose, we’re more than a team of child care specialists. We’re also a family, and we care for every child as though they are our own. Like your home, our school provides a secure, nurturing environment that fosters self-discovery and a love of learning. I can’t wait to learn more about you and your family.

Hi, my name is Mrs. Werner! This is my first opportunity working in a child-care setting and I am so excited! I am originally from Tennessee. I also have a twin sister! I am engaged and will be getting married in Spring of 2025. I look forward to learning from my co-teachers and getting to know each one of my students and their families. When I am not working, I enjoy spending my time riding horses! At Primrose, we’re more than a team of child care specialists. Soil Exploration!

Soil Exploration!🪴🪏 Our little geologists continued their study of the Earth by learning about soil! Last week, we learned about rocks. This week, we learned how weathering breaks rocks into smaller pieces and some of those pieces are carried away to different places like into the soil! Soil is not just one thing, it’s a mixture of many things! The students explored all the different things they could see that made up the soil such as rocks, leaves, nutrients, wood, and more!🪱🪴🪏🪵#PrimroseProud #SoilExploration

Project Time!

Students are learning all about motion this month! They're becoming young physicists with fun curriculum activities like building ramps that are all different heights and rolling a ball down them to see which ramp is the fastest! #PrimroseProud

Native American History Month!

Honoring Native American Heritage Month! For our first lesson of the month we talked about Native Foods and Gratitude in our older classrooms and Drum & Dance in our younger rooms! The younger classrooms looked at pictures of Native American drums and listened to a song sample featuring drumming and flute sounds! The students practiced their own drums sounds with the music! The older classrooms learned about how the Native Americans were the first farmers of this land and that they grew corn, beans, and squash. These three foods are called the “Three Sisters” because they grow close together and help each other grow! The students explored each different food and then used corn on the cob to create art by painting the corn with fall colors and rolling it across their paper! We are so excited to learn more during the rest of Native American Heritage Month! #PrimroseProud #NAHM

National Day of Belongingness

Teddy Bear Picnic!

Teddy Bear picnic!🧸🧺❤️ It’s always a great day when you get to bring your favorite teddy bear/stuffie to school! The students shared the special stuffie they brought with their class at circle time and then we all got to have a picnic and enjoy yummy snack together!☀️ #PrimroseProud #picnic #teddybear
