Through purposeful play, meaningful questions and direct instruction, our Preschool teachers encourage your child to think in new and different ways. Your child will have so much fun that they won’t even realize they’re developing the skills they’ll need for reading and math.

Health & Safety
Our school is committed to high standards of safety and cleanliness as we create a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
- Requiring any children or staff with respiratory illness symptoms or fever to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 24 hours
- Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
- Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
- Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
- Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
- Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
- Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
- Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access

Ms. Anderson
I’m Ms. Anderson. I wanted to tell you a little about myself. I grew up in Mexico in a small town. My dad is a doctor and I have been helping him ever since I was 12yrs old; I helped with many infants and young children. When we moved to the USA my dad opened a Mexican restaurant! I have two boys of my own; Yahel and Jared. We all work at the Primrose School of Shawnee and love it! I have been with the Primrose School of Shawnee since March of 2023! At Primrose, we’re more than a team of child care specialists. We’re also a family, and we care for every child as though they are our own. Like your home, our school provides a secure, nurturing environment that fosters self-discovery and a love of learning. I can’t wait to learn more about you and your family.
Mrs. Camarillo
I’m Mrs. Camarillo. I wanted to tell you a little about myself. In my spare time, I love spending time with my family. I have two children, Matias and Emily. They are in the explorer’s program at the Primrose School of Shawnee with me! I have been with Primrose since January of 2023. I love coming into work and being there for all of my students. I love seeing them learn new things each and every day; I also love seeing how much they grow throughout the school year! At Primrose, we’re more than a team of child care specialists.
