Our Toddler Classroom
An action-packed day full of fun and purposeful play helps toddlers develop Active Minds, Healthy Bodies, and Happy Hearts®. We know 1-year-olds are constantly on the move, exploring and learning through play at every turn. Primrose teachers use that energy and enthusiasm to foster cognitive, social, emotional and physical skills through engaging games and activities.

Sarah Traub
Hi, Primrose families! 🏫💕
My name is Ms. Sarah, and I’m so excited to begin my journey here at Primrose! I was born and raised in Texas and have lived here my entire life. I’ve called this community home for the past 14 years and even grew up just a couple of miles from our school, which makes being part of this wonderful community even more special.
Growing up, I loved staying active and participating in sports like soccer, track, basketball, volleyball, cheerleading, and ballet. These experiences taught me the importance of teamwork, perseverance, and having fun while learning new skills.
Although I have 8 months of professional childcare experience, my passion for working with children has always been strong. I love helping children learn, grow, and discover something new each day. Seeing their excitement when they master a new skill or explore the world around them is the most rewarding part of my job. ❤️
When I’m not in the classroom, you’ll usually find me creating art, spending quality time with my family and friends, or staying active at the gym. 🎨🏋️♀️💕 I’m also currently working toward earning my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, and I’m excited to continue learning so I can provide the very best experience for every child in my care.
I can’t wait to get to know you and your little one and help them learn, grow, and thrive here at Primrose! 🌟

Cecelia Perera
Hi Primrose family! 🏫✨ I’m Mrs. Cecelia, and I’ve proudly called Primrose School of Plano at Deerfield home since 1993—longer than any other teacher on campus! 🎉 With 20+ years of early‑childhood experience, I still light up each day watching our kiddos explore, wonder, and grow. 🌱💕
Though my hometown is Plano, Texas 🤠, I was born in beautiful Sri Lanka 🌺, and the values I learned there shape how I teach and care for every child. Mother Teresa inspires my heart for service, and my father will always be my hero. 💖👨👧
The magic of the Primrose curriculum keeps my passion fresh, and the daily connections I share with our students and their families make this work truly special. When I’m not in the classroom, you’ll usually find me curled up with a good book 📚 or enjoying quiet time to reflect and recharge.
I can’t wait to partner with you and your little one and keep building a joyful, nurturing space where they can learn, laugh, and thrive! 🌟

Netra Jones
Hi Primrose family! 🏫✨ I’m Ms. Netra, and I’ve been part of the Primrose School of Plano at Deerfield crew since 2022. With 10+ years of child‑care experience under my belt, I feel right at home guiding our older toddlers as they explore everything, every single day 🌟👣.
Nurturing little minds and hearts is my happy place—nothing beats watching our kiddos learn, grow, and light up with new discoveries 💡💕. Their curiosity keeps every moment fun, and I love knowing the trust you place in us helps them blossom.
I earned my GED 🎓, and my favorite story to share is ABC, I Love You 📚—perfect for cuddles, giggles, and learning letters together. When class is out, you’ll probably find me shopping 🛍️, relaxing with a good read (especially my Bible) 🙏📖, and soaking up quiet moments to recharge.
I can’t wait to learn more about you and your family and create joyful memories with your little one here at Primrose! 🌱💕

Blue - Rounag Jahan
Hi Primrose family! 🏫✨ I’m Ms. Blue (Rounag Jahan), an older‑toddler teacher who first joined Primrose back in May 2015. With 15+ years of child‑care and teaching experience, I’m thrilled to be part of our Deerfield crew, guiding curious little explorers every day. 🌟👣
I grew up in Dhaka, Bangladesh, graduated high school there, and later entered the medical technology program at Everest College in Ottawa 🎓🔬. Those studies sharpened my love for science—something I weave into playful lessons whenever our toddlers investigate the world around them.
Nothing lights up my day like the beaming smiles of children discovering something new. Watching them learn, grow, and giggle makes every moment in the classroom pure joy 💕. After school you’ll often find me curled up with a Dr. Seuss book 📚 or catching the latest super‑hero movie 🎬🦸♂️—stories of imagination and bravery that inspire my teaching, too.
I can’t wait to get to know you and your family and share many happy, wonder‑filled moments with your little one here at Primrose! 🌱💕
