We know the first year of life can have a big influence on a child’s success in the years that follow. That’s why teachers in your child’s Infant classroom provide a loving and nurturing environment as they lay the foundation for learning. This includes literacy; communication and vocabulary skills to help your infant better express their needs; gross motor skills and sensory development; and emotional well-being.

Health & Safety
Our school is committed to high standards of safety and cleanliness as we create a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
- Requiring any children or staff with respiratory illness symptoms or fever to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 24 hours
- Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
- Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
- Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
- Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
- Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
- Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
- Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access

Barbara Akers
Hi Primrose family! 🏫✨ I’m Ms. Barbara, and I’m thrilled to bring my medical assistant degree 🎓 and five years of child‑care experience 👶💗 to Primrose School of Plano at Deerfield. After nine years behind the wheel of a school bus 🚍 and five years with DART 🚊, my heart pulled me back to the classroom, where I can pour my energy into early learning and watch little minds blossom every day.
I’ve been happily married since 2001 💍 and am the proud mom of energetic twin boys born in 2017 👦👦. Nothing beats playing, laughing, and watching children discover something new—especially with Primrose’s amazing curriculum that sparks curiosity and growth 🌱📚. My all‑time favorite story to share is Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? 🐻, perfect for giggles and color fun.
When class is out, you’ll find me soaking up family time, whether we’re exploring the outdoors or just hanging out at home 🏡❤️. I can’t wait to get to know you and your little one and help them learn, play, and thrive here at Primrose! 🌟

Hi Primrose family! 🏫✨ I’m Bhavani Gubiligari, and I’m so excited to be part of the Primrose family as an Infant Teacher. 💖 I’ve been happily married for 12 wonderful years and am a proud mom of two amazing children. 👩👧👦
Teaching has always been my passion! 🎓 I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education and Computer Science, and I recently earned my Master’s in Education. With 3 years of child care experience, I absolutely love nurturing little ones and celebrating their joyful curiosity. 🌈✨
I believe every child deserves a warm, safe, and loving environment where they can feel empowered to explore and grow. Watching infants reach their milestones, big and small, is truly magical! 🍼🌱
When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me enjoying music 🎶 and spending precious moments with my family. One of my favorite children’s books is The Beginner’s Bible by Zondervan 📚 — it’s full of timeless stories that spark wonder in young hearts.

I’m a proud wife and mom to two wonderful children 💍👨👩👧👦, and my faith plays a guiding role in my life, giving me strength and purpose every day 🙏. I absolutely love engaging kids in fun, meaningful activities that spark their imagination and development. One of my favorite books to share is Fox and the Magic Path 🦊—a magical story full of discovery and wonder.
When I’m not in the classroom, you can find me cooking, cleaning, shopping, and staying active through biking, walking, or hitting the gym 🚴♀️🛍️. I also treasure time in prayer and quiet moments with God.

With four years of hands-on childcare experience, I bring a caring heart and a genuine love for helping children grow and learn each day. I’m passionate about creating a warm, positive environment where every child feels happy, safe, and supported. 💛🌱
I love going shopping and spending quality time with my family whenever I can. We enjoy taking trips together and making fun memories. In my free time, you can also find me cooking and trying out new recipes or relaxing and watching a good movie. 🍳🎬🛍️
My favorite part of working with children is spending time reading with them. There’s something so special about sharing stories and watching their imaginations come to life! One of my favorite books to read is Clifford the Big Red Dog ❤️🐶
