Our school is committed to high standards of safety and cleanliness as we create a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.

  • Requiring any children or staff with respiratory illness symptoms or fever to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 24 hours
  • Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
  • Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
  • Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
  • Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
  • Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
  • Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
  • Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access

Ms. Perez

Preschool 1 Lead Teacher

Mrs. Perez is a dedicated and experienced educator at the Primrose School at Moorefield Station. She has been a part of the school since October 2015 and has taken on various roles, currently serving as a Lead Teacher in the Preschool room, where she specializes in teaching singing and caring for the youngest students.

 

Throughout her time at the school, Mrs. Perez has demonstrated her versatility by previously working as a lead teacher in the Toddler Classroom, the Early Preschool Classroom, and our Pathways program before transitioning to her current role in the Preschool Program.

 

Mrs. Perez’s extensive experience in preschool childcare spans over eight years, making her a valuable asset to the school community. Additionally, she holds a degree in Occupational Studies from Briarcliff College, showcasing her commitment to professional development in her field.

 

Originally from Glen Clove, NY, Mrs. Perez brings her love for the Yankees with her to the school. Outside of teaching, she enjoys exploring museums and historic sites with her family, demonstrating her passion for lifelong learning and education.

 

One of Mrs. Perez’s primary goals is to support her students in their transitions and help them adjust socially and academically. Her dedication to the well-being and development of her students is evident in her role as a Lead Teacher, and she looks forward to continuing to make a positive impact on the lives of the young learners at the Primrose School at Moorefield Station.

 

Ms. Pyle

Preschool 2 Lead Teacher

Ms. Pyle has a rich background in child care and education, which she brings to her role at the Primrose School at Moorefield Station. Her journey began in 2003 when she started as a babysitter, demonstrating her early affinity for working with children. For a decade, before joining Primrose in July 2019, she honed her skills in a daycare facility, gaining valuable experience in the field. Currently, Ms. Pyle is dedicated to her educational pursuits, working toward a degree in Elementary Education, a testament to her commitment to advancing her qualifications in the realm of education.

 

Within the Primrose School, Ms. Pyle has shown remarkable growth and adaptability. She initially joined as the Preschool Pathways lead, where she likely played a pivotal role in the early education of young children. Her dedication and enthusiasm for the Primrose Balanced Learning Curriculum became evident, propelling her to take on a new challenge within the organization. Later, she transitioned to become the Preschool lead, working closely with our other teachers, showcasing her versatility and dedication to her role.

 

Beyond her professional responsibilities, Ms. Pyle derives immense joy from teaching and fostering creativity in her students, often engaging them in crafting activities. Her commitment to providing a stimulating and enjoyable learning environment for the children in her care is evident. Outside of work, Ms. Pyle enjoys spending quality time with her family at their lake house, demonstrating her appreciation for the outdoors and leisure activities. In sum, Ms. Pyle’s extensive experience, coupled with her passion for early childhood education, makes her a valuable and dedicated member of the Primrose School at Moorefield Station team.

 

Ms. Carlson

Preschool 2 Lead Teacher

With over 15 years of dedicated experience in early childhood education, Ms. Carlson has developed a deep understanding of how young children grow, learn, and thrive. Her career spans a variety of educational settings, from private in-home care to structured public school classrooms, providing her with a well-rounded perspective on the diverse needs of children from infancy through Pre-K.

As a preschool teacher, Ms. Carlson is known for creating nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environments where children feel safe, supported, and inspired to learn. She places strong emphasis on social and emotional development, believing these foundational skills are just as critical as cognitive and physical milestones. Through carefully designed routines, creative play, and meaningful interactions, she helps children build confidence, develop friendships, and acquire essential life skills.

Her classroom is a place where curiosity is celebrated and each child is recognized as capable and unique. By incorporating hands-on activities, storytelling, music, art, and nature-based learning, Ms. Carlson ensures her students are fully engaged and learning through experience. She is especially skilled at recognizing individual learning styles and adapting her approach to meet each child’s needs with warmth, patience, and creativity.

Ms. Carlson holds an associate degree in Early Childhood Education, along with an Early Childhood Education Certificate and a 45-hour School Age Certificate. These qualifications reflect her strong foundation in child development and her commitment to continued professional growth.

Beyond her work in the classroom, Ms. Carlson brings her love of family, language, and culture into her teaching. Fluent in French and passionate about creating recipes, she often incorporates elements of culture and tradition into classroom activities, enriching the learning experience for her students. One of her favorite family traditions—cooking and sharing time-honored recipes—mirrors the sense of connection she strives to build with the children and families she serves.

In her free time, Ms. Carlson enjoys baking with her son, hiking, and spending time outdoors. She’s also a devoted Baltimore Ravens fan and brings that same enthusiasm and energy into her everyday work. Her favorite children’s book, Oh, The Places You’ll Go, perfectly captures her belief in each child’s potential and the exciting journey of learning that begins in early childhood.
