Teachers & Staff

Ms. Priyanka Sharma
Hello there, my name is Priyanka Sharma. I am so happy to be a part of Primrose family and wanted to share little bit about myself. I have over 18 years of experience working with children and have been with Primrose School of Livermore since the day they opened! I started as a teacher and was promoted to Education Coach in 2024. I now serve as the school’s Director, and I couldn’t be happier to take on this new role and help serve all of our Primrose families.
I have Master’s degree in accounting and Early Childhood Education teacher credentials under my belt. I have 2 daughters; my older is doing Pre Med from UC Santa Cruz and I couldn’t be prouder.
I love spending time with my family and friends and also love to read during my leisure time. I love to eat Indian food and try out new cuisines. What I really love most is sharing my experience and implementing my skills to nurture the children here at Primrose and to grow with our community of Primrose families.

Ms. Jennifer Lovelace
Greetings Primrose Families! I am so excited for this opportunity as Education Coach with the amazing Livermore team. Ever since I was a young girl growing up in Canada, I knew exactly what I wanted to be when I grew up. While other children were playing house or tag, I could be found in my basement, surrounded by my stuffed animals and imaginary students, meticulously conducting lessons and sharing stories. That childhood dream never wavered, even as I navigated the big move to the United States during my high school years. Today, with 26 incredible years of teaching experience under my belt, I can say with absolute certainty that I am living my purpose!
My journey in early childhood education has been a vibrant, multi-faceted adventure. For a full decade, I had the immense joy of owning and operating my own in-home preschool and childcare. This experience was a labor of love that allowed me to build a community from the ground up, creating a safe, nurturing “home away from home” for countless little ones. Beyond the classroom, I have also stepped into leadership roles as both an Assistant Director and a Director. These positions allowed me to use my expertise to mentor other educators and ensure the highest standards of care and incorporating multiple curriculum areas in my environments, but my heart has always remained firmly rooted in the daily magic of the classroom.
If you were to step into my classroom, you would immediately feel the two pillars of my teaching philosophy: kindness and compassion. I believe that before a child can learn their ABCs or 123s, they must feel seen, valued, and loved. My mission is to cultivate an environment where empathy is the language we speak. I am especially passionate about integrating music and art into early childhood development. There is nothing quite like the sparkle in a child’s eyes when they discover the rhythm of a drum or the messy, beautiful joy of finger painting. To me, these aren’t just hobbies; they are essential tools for self-expression and building confidence in our youngest learners.
On a personal note, my greatest pride and joy are my two beautiful adult children. Raising them as a single mother has been the most rewarding challenge of my life, and watching the wonderful people they have become is my greatest achievement. When I am not in the classroom or dreaming up new lesson plans, you can usually find me embracing the beauty of the outdoors. I am an avid hiker who finds peace on the trails, a dedicated gardener who loves watching things grow, and a passionate crafter who is always looking for my next creative project.
I feel so incredibly blessed to have spent nearly three decades doing what I love. My enthusiasm for teaching is just as strong today as it was when I was that little girl playing school in my basement, and I cannot wait to continue sharing my heart, my art, and my love for learning with the next generation!

Ms. Elizabeth Esqueda
Hello everyone, my name is Elizabeth Esqueda. I’m truly happy to be joining the Primrose team and to be part of an organization that genuinely values children, families, and the people who support them.
I bring over a decade of professional experience in early childhood and youth development, primarily in San Francisco, where I worked closely with community-based and mission-driven organizations serving diverse families. While completing my bachelor’s degree in Health Equity at Mills College, I developed a strong understanding of wellness, prevention, and the importance of building systems that support people in meaningful and lasting ways.As my career evolved, my work naturally expanded into financial and operational roles, where I found a passion for bringing clarity, structure, and accuracy to complex processes. I bring hands-on experience in financial operations, with a disciplined, systems-oriented approach to accounting and operational support, and I take pride in creating workflows that are reliable, compliant, and supportive of both leadership and staff.
What brings everything full circle for me is returning to the childcare industry, where I can combine my background in child development with my dedication to financial operations. At Primrose, I’ll be working closely with the leadership teams in Livermore, San Ramon, and Hillcrest Forest as a Bookkeeper, supporting financial consistency, billing accuracy, and strong systems across our schools.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my children (who have plenty of energy) whether that’s visiting parks, sharing a home-cooked meal, reading together, or simply enjoying a movie night.
I’m genuinely excited to meet everyone, build relationships, and contribute in a way that supports both our teams and the families we serve.

Franchise Owner
Neha and Piyoosh Jalan
Meet Piyoosh and Neha Jalan, proud multi-unit Franchise Owners of Primrose School of Livermore, Primrose School of San Ramon, and Primrose School of Silicon Forest. This family takes great pride in introducing the Primrose School of Livermore – a premier preschool conveniently located on a spacious 2.3-acre lot committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for children. Their family’s legacy of providing high-quality education led them to open their Primrose school.
Our Story
Neha and Piyoosh recognized the need for high-quality early education when they had their first daughter, Ishita, in 2008. “When we had Ishita, we couldn’t find a facility that combined a nurturing, loving environment with the balanced learning we wanted for our daughter,” says Neha.
With her background in early education, Neha took matters into her own hands and left her teaching career to start a home-based childcare service for Bay Area families in 2008. By 2011, with the birth of their son Samar on the horizon, the Jalans decided to take their passion for early education even further. After extensive research, they visited a Primrose School in Houston and were immediately impressed by its curriculum, infrastructure, philosophy, and culture. “We knew right away that we wanted to be part of the Primrose family,” says Piyoosh.
A Commitment to Excellence
Originally from opposite sides of India, both Neha and Piyoosh have always had a passion for learning and education. Piyoosh came to the United States to attend Cornell University, where he earned a master’s degree in Computer Science before beginning his career in Silicon Valley at companies like IBM, Yahoo!, and Microsoft. Meanwhile, Neha pursued her degree in Information Technology at Manipal University in Hyderabad, India. Despite her background in technology, teaching has always been her passion, and she achieved great success in early childhood education, earning the Teacher of the Year award in 2004.
“As a mother of two wonderful children, I understand how difficult it is to place your child in someone else’s care,” says Neha. “Primrose School of Silicon Forest will always strive to be a home away from home. We are committed to partnering with parents to provide children with the same passion, care, and love they receive at home.”
Why Primrose?
