Our Toddler Classroom
An action-packed day full of fun and purposeful play helps toddlers develop Active Minds, Healthy Bodies, and Happy Hearts®. We know 1-year-olds are constantly on the move, exploring and learning through play at every turn. Primrose teachers use that energy and enthusiasm to foster cognitive, social, emotional and physical skills through engaging games and activities.
Nurturing Active Minds, Healthy Bodies, and Happy Hearts

Our Toddler Classroom Teachers & Staff

Ms. Nickel
My name is Ms. Nickel, and I love working with children and creating a nurturing space where they can learn and grow. My goal is to support each child’s development through hands-on learning, creativity, and positive encouragement.
I bring several years of experience in childcare, including babysitting, working in an in-home childcare setting, and completing an Early Childhood course in high school. I am currently pursuing my Child Development Associate (CDA) credential in Infants and Toddlers, as I continue to grow professionally and deepen my understanding of early childhood development.
My favorite Primrose character is OG the Bookworm because he encourages storytelling, imagination, and a love for books—values I enjoy sharing with children every day.

Ms. Batistas
My name is Ms. Batistas, and I love witnessing those special “lightbulb” moments when my students discover something new. As a mother of four, I am passionate about creating a classroom where children feel supported, confident, and excited to learn.
I bring 20 years of experience as an infant and toddler teacher, and throughout my career I have dedicated myself to nurturing young children, supporting their development, and creating loving, engaging learning environments where they can truly thrive.
My favorite Primrose character is OG the Bookworm because we both love spending time reading. Like OG, I believe books spark imagination, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.

Ms. Carter
My name is Ms. Carter, and I love engaging children in learning through play while helping them build meaningful friendships with one another. I bring over five years of experience in childcare, including working as a lead teacher and a babysitter. These experiences have allowed me to create fun, supportive learning environments where children feel confident, connected, and excited to learn.
I am passionate about fostering social skills, cooperation, and kindness in the classroom, and I enjoy guiding children as they learn how to work together and support one another.
My favorite Primrose character is Erwin the Dog because I love teaching children about friendship and the importance of caring for others.
