Caring for the youngest children in our community is a responsibility we take seriously in every part of the day — from the air they breathe to the moment they fall asleep. Here’s how we keep our infant classrooms safe, clean, and nurturing.

Managing Illness

• High-touch toys and surfaces are disinfected and sanitized frequently throughout the day
• Handwashing is built into our infant curriculum and daily staff protocols, practiced frequently by children and teachers alike
• Teachers are trained to recognize early signs of illness, reinforced by signage posted in every classroom
• Children or staff showing signs of respiratory illness or fever return home and stay home until fever-free for at least 24 hours

Air Quality

• Our infant classrooms are equipped with built-in UV air sanitizing systems
• Air filters are changed monthly to help maintain clean, healthy indoor air

Sleep Safety

• All teachers complete training in Safe Sleep practices, including SIDS and Shaken Baby Syndrome prevention
• Every infant sleeps in a school-provided sleep sack, in their own labeled crib
• We do not use baby swings or other unapproved sleep equipment in our classrooms
• Crib sheets are laundered daily

Feeding & Bottles

• All bottles are labeled in-house to ensure consistency and accuracy
• Every bottle given to your baby is documented in real time, with the details available to you through our parent app
• Breastmilk is labeled at the time it’s provided
• Breastfeeding moms are always welcome at school — whether that’s a quick visit during the day or feeding on-site

Allergies & Dietary Restrictions

• Families with a known allergy or dietary restriction complete an allergy plan on file with our staff
• EpiPens or other required medication are stored either in the classroom or at our front desk medication storage, based on what the child needs
• Allergies and dietary restrictions are posted in classrooms and in our kitchen, so every staff member who handles food is aware

Consistent Caregivers

• Each infant classroom has two primary teachers your child sees every day, building real familiarity and trust
• A regular, familiar support teacher covers breaks and time off

Daily Communication

• Every day, you’ll receive updates on bottles, diapers, naps, baby food and meals
• Photos and videos throughout the day let you see your baby’s moments as they happen

Building & Premises Safety

• Classroom access is controlled by individual Bluetooth credentials — not a shared code that can be passed along or duplicated
• All visitors are ID-scanned before entering the building

Background Checks

• All staff complete background checks and fingerprinting before working with children

Emergency Preparedness

• An up-to-date, customized Safe School Plan is posted in every classroom for easy teacher reference
• Staff complete ongoing health and safety training, including current CPR and First Aid certification
• Our team practices regular emergency drills to stay prepared for a range of scenarios

Weather Preparedness

• Regular weather drills keep staff and children prepared for severe weather
• Clear guidelines determine when it’s safe for infants to go outside, based on heat, air quality, and other conditions
• Sunscreen application and hats are part of our outdoor routine
