Through Balanced Learning®, our dedicated teachers create engaging learning experiences that inspire curiosity, creativity, confidence and compassion. At Primrose School of Devon, our caring teachers combine structured learning, purposeful play and rest into a rhythm suited to every age group, integrated with circle time, small-group lessons, Children’s Choice Learning Centers, meals and rest.
At our school, children also have additional activities throughout the week, including our Enrichment Programs Coding with Megy®, Chess with Percy®, Drama with Og®, Piano with Billy®, Cooking with Molly℠, Little Magicians with Ally℠, Mindful Movement with Mia℠ and Zoology with Benjamin®, with other sports activities and programs also available.
School readiness begins in our Infant program and grows through every stage of our Balanced Learning® approach, with each year building the academic, social-emotional and life skills children need for future success.
Using balanced assessments and ongoing teacher observations, we monitor each child’s development, individualize learning experiences and partner with families through regular communication to support a confident transition to kindergarten and beyond.
No, our teachers work one-on-one with each family to support potty training at a child’s own pace, keeping the routine consistent between school and home.
Yes! Primrose School of Devon has a secure, on-campus playground, giving children daily outdoor play as part of their regular schedule.
Our staff stay closely involved during outdoor time, performing daily safety checks and keeping constant supervision as children play.
With daily safety inspections, ongoing environmental monitoring and weather-related precautions in place, we help keep outdoor time safe and enjoyable for every child.
Of course! Our on-site chef prepares breakfast, lunch and snacks fresh each day in our own culinary kitchen, all part of our Balanced Menus, and we serve only organic milk along with fresh or fresh-frozen fruits and vegetables.
Our lunch menus include favorites like chicken Alfredo with steamed broccoli, a turkey and cheese sandwich with steamed mixed vegetables, and baked pierogies with steamed and cut carrots and peas, giving children variety and proper nutrition throughout the week.
We partner with each family early on to map out a plan that keeps your child’s meals safe and worry-free.
Our teachers and kitchen staff are trained to accommodate gluten, wheat and celiac needs, peanut and tree nut allergies, milk and dairy allergies, and egg allergies, as well as vegetarian, vegan, kosher and halal diets.
Our Balanced Learning® approach is designed to meet children where they are. Teachers adapt activities, instruction and support to match each child’s developmental stage and learning needs. Through purposeful play and nurturing guidance, we help every child build confidence and grow at their own pace.
For families working with outside early intervention or special education providers, our teachers welcome ongoing communication to help support the child’s experience in the classroom.

We keep families informed as the Safe School Plan evolves.
We use an app to keep families connected throughout the day by sharing photos, classroom activities, curriculum information, nap updates, and diaper change and bathroom visit notifications.
The app also includes two-way messaging, so you can stay in touch with your child’s teachers whenever you’d like.
We value open, ongoing communication and connect with families in person at drop-off and pick-up to discuss your child’s day, answer questions and share what we’re noticing in the classroom.
