Our Toddler Classroom
An action-packed day full of fun and purposeful play helps toddlers develop Active Minds, Healthy Bodies, and Happy Hearts®. We know 1-year-olds are constantly on the move, exploring and learning through play at every turn. Primrose teachers use that energy and enthusiasm to foster cognitive, social, emotional and physical skills through engaging games and activities.

Our Toddler Classroom Teachers & Staff

Ms. June W
Hello! My name is June, and I’d love to share a little about myself.
I’m originally from Taipei, Taiwan. I graduated from National Tainan Teachers College in July 1994 and began my teaching career as an elementary school teacher in Taichung, where I taught for six years. Between 1997 and 2000, I pursued advanced studies and earned a master’s degree in Special Education from National Changhua University of Education.
After moving to the United States, I completed Montessori training at the Montessori Teacher Education Center in the San Francisco Bay Area, affiliated with the American Montessori Society (AMS). I earned my Early Childhood Credential in June 2002.
Since then, I’ve been working as a bilingual (Mandarin and English) preschool teacher in the Bay Area for over 20 years. I am passionate about early childhood education and remain committed to making a positive impact in this field. One of my guiding beliefs is: “A teacher can shape a child, and a child can shape the world.” This saying is close to my heart and inspires me every day.
There are many reasons why I’ve chosen to dedicate my life to teaching. Most of all, I love connecting with children at their level—seeing the world through their eyes, understanding their thoughts, and supporting their growth. Watching them discover new ideas and develop confidence brings me deep joy and fulfillment. My diverse teaching experiences have only strengthened my passion for education.
My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving—it’s a time to gather with loved ones, enjoy great food, and reflect on life’s blessings. It reminds me to be thankful for all the good around me.
A few fun facts about me:
-
Primrose character I relate to: Og the Bookworm – I love how stories allow us to explore different cultures, emotions, and perspectives, helping us grow as individuals.
-
Favorite food: Any dish with tofu!
-
Favorite weekend activities: Hiking and watching movies
-
Favorite children’s book: The Cat in the Hat by Dr. Seuss

Ms. Veena K.
Hi! I’m Ms. Veena, and I’m so excited to be part of the Primrose School community. Originally from New Delhi, India, I hold a Bachelor of Education degree and am passionate about creating nurturing and inclusive environments where children can grow and thrive. I truly enjoy building meaningful relationships with each child and supporting their development through creativity, curiosity, and care.
Before moving to San Jose, California, I spent eight years living in Sweden, where I had the wonderful opportunity to work as a substitute teacher in Swedish primary schools for one year. That experience laid a strong foundation for my journey in early childhood education and deepened my appreciation for guiding young learners as they explore the world around them.
Outside of the classroom, some of my favorite things include relaxing on the weekends, visiting the beach, and shopping. I love food from my home culture—especially Chole Bhature—and one of my all-time favorite children’s books is Pippi in the South Sea. If I had to choose a Primrose character I relate to most, it would be Billy the Duck, and what I’m most looking forward to this school year is supporting each child’s personal development and getting to know everyone in the community!
