Our Infant Classroom

We know the first year of life can have a big influence on a child’s success in the years that follow. That’s why teachers in your child’s Infant classroom provide a loving and nurturing environment as they lay the foundation for learning. This includes literacy; communication and vocabulary skills to help your infant better express their needs; gross motor skills and sensory development; and emotional well-being.

Health & Safety

Their health & safety. Our top priority.

Our school is committed to high standards of safety and cleanliness as we create a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.

  • Requiring any children or staff with fever to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 24 hours
  • Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
  • Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
  • Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
  • Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants
  • Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
  • Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
  • Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access
  • Monthly emergency drills so children and staff are prepared for emergencies

Young Toddler Teacher

Hi, I’m Claudia, and I’m excited to share a little about myself with you. I have four years of experience working in child care and am a fully qualified teacher. What I love most about working with children is building meaningful bonds with each child and their family, and I truly enjoy all the funny and heartwarming stories they share every day. I believe in creating a warm, nurturing environment where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn and grow.

One of my favorite children’s books is Corduroy by Don Freeman because it highlights friendship, belonging, and love. My favorite holidays are Christmas and Halloween, as they bring so much joy and excitement. At home, we speak Spanish, and I have two pets: Milou, my Golden Retriever, and Mellow, my Bearded Dragon. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my sister or going on walks with my dog. I look forward to getting to know you and your family!

Young Toddler Teacher

Hello everyone,

My name is Nehal. I’ve always had a passion for working with young children and love seeing their natural curiosity in action. I’m originally from India, and after moving to the U.S., I often volunteered in my children’s classrooms whenever I had the opportunity.

Through volunteering, I gained valuable insight into how early education is enriched through arts, crafts, and various fun, hands-on activities. I truly enjoyed participating in these experiences with my kids. Now that they are older—one in middle school and the other in elementary school—I have more time to pursue my passion for teaching.

I also have experience working in preschool and after-school programs, which has further strengthened my commitment to early childhood education. I’m excited and happy to join the Primrose School family, and I look forward to working together with all of you!
