Health & Safety

Our school is committed to high standards of safety and cleanliness as we create a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.

Requiring any children or staff with respiratory illness symptoms or fever to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 24 hours
Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access

Hi, I’m Ms. Mehnaz! I’ve been working with children for seven years and am currently in the process of completing my associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education. I’m excited to work with children because they bring so much joy into my life. I love watching them grow, learn, and explore the world around them. From their first words to their first steps, being a part of those special milestones brings me so much happiness!

Hi! I am Carmen, and I am so excited to be at Primrose. Since I was younger, my mom would teach and take care of children, which made me want to work with them myself. I started working with children as soon as I graduated high school. I’ve been working with children for five years and have earned my CCP, which has prepared me to work with children throughout early childhood education.

One of my favorite parts of working with children is watching them learn, grow, and reach exciting new milestones. I love being able to celebrate their accomplishments and be a part of their journey along the way. I’m excited to continue creating special memories with our children at PrimWin! 💗

Toddler Room

Toddler Program (15–24 Months) Our Toddler Program is designed for curious, active learners ages 15–24 months, providing the perfect balance of nurturing care and purposeful learning. At Primrose School of Winfield, we know that consistency is essential during this stage of rapid growth, which is why we offer five-day enrollment to help children build secure relationships, establish predictable routines, and thrive in their classroom community. Using our exclusive Balanced Learning® curriculum, toddlers engage in hands-on experiences that foster language development, early literacy, math concepts, creative art, music, dramatic play, and physical development. Every day is filled with opportunities to explore, discover, and build confidence while developing the social-emotional skills that lay the foundation for future success. To provide a more personalized experience, we intentionally maintain classroom enrollment below Illinois state licensing capacity, allowing our teachers more time to build meaningful connections and support each child's individual learning journey. Our program also includes nutritious, balanced meals and snacks prepared daily, giving families one less thing to worry about while supporting healthy growth and development. At Primrose School of Winfield, our toddler classrooms inspire independence, encourage curiosity, and help every child develop a lifelong love of learning.

Tapping into the First Five Years

🔠✨ Letter Learning Starts Early! ✨🔠 In our toddler classrooms, our friends explored the letters that make them unique by identifying the letter that starts their name! We began by sorting ABC blocks so each child's name was represented by a letter block. Together, we talked about how letters represent sounds and practiced using the sentence frame, "[M] is for Mia!" as each child proudly held their letter. Through this age-appropriate activity, children were introduced to important early literacy concepts, including letter recognition, phonemic awareness, vocabulary development, and confidence in communication. These playful learning experiences help us tap into the incredible potential of the first five years, building a strong foundation for future reading and writing success.
