Our Toddler Classroom

An action-packed day full of fun and purposeful play helps toddlers develop Active Minds, Healthy Bodies, and Happy Hearts®. We know 1-year-olds are constantly on the move, exploring and learning through play at every turn. Primrose teachers use that energy and enthusiasm to foster cognitive, social, emotional and physical skills through engaging games and activities.

My name is Katherine Moreno.  When I  was a little girl, I would pretend to be a teacher to my stuffed animals.  It is obvious that  my dream since that time has been to become a teacher.  I have been teaching for 29 years.  I attained my Child Development Associate certification from San Antonio College in 2018.    My favorite children’s book is “The Very Hungry Caterpillar”.  I have loved this book since I was very young.  Our Toddlers love to sit and hear about everything the caterpillar ate  and how it turns into a beautiful butterfly.  In my free time I love being with my family.  I have two sons, which  are 30 and 23, a three  3 year -old grandson.

Hello, my name is Mrs. Shirely Rios.  I am originally from Venezuela. I am bilingual in English and Spanish.  I have my Masters degree in School Administration.  I have 19 years of teaching experience in the  Upper levels and 3 years  in Early Childhood Education.  While in Venezuela, I taught Biology.  I enjoy caring for children with respect and affection.  I also take account for their individual needs and encourage  them to join in our classroom activities.  My favorite part of teaching children is seeing how they enjoy learning new things, celebrating their achievements and seeing them shape their unique personalities.  My favorite children’s book is “Charlotte’s Web”.  My favorite holidays are Christmas and New Year’s.  I especially enjoy celebrating Three King’s Day.  When I am not at school, I enjoy spending  time with my family, cooking, reading and traveling.  God is a very important part of my life. I also enjoy spending time with our little pet monkey named Pepita.
