Our Preschool Pathways Classroom

Our Preschool Pathways program provides a “bridge” between our Early Preschool and Preschool classrooms for children whose birthdays will ultimately miss the cutoff date for kindergarten entrance. By identifying those children early, we can help them stay with a consistent group of peers through preschool, pre-K and kindergarten.

Health & Safety

Their health & safety. Our top priority.

Our school is committed to high standards of safety and cleanliness as we create a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.

  • Requiring any children or staff with fever to return home and stay home until fever-free for at least 24 hours
  • Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
  • Frequent handwashing by children and staff, embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
  • Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
  • Individual cots and blankets provided for each child, laundered weekly
  • Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
  • Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
  • Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access
  • Monthly emergency drills to ensure children and staff are prepared for emergencies

Our Preschool Pathways Classroom Teachers & Staff

Ms. Rachel
Ms. Rachel
Lead Teacher

Ms. Rachel holds her Child Development Associate credential and brings energy, positivity, and a whole lot of heart to her role every single day. She is passionate about helping every child feel seen, valued, and excited to learn, and she has a special gift for drawing out the quieter kids and watching them gain confidence and try new things. Her favorite part of the job is witnessing those light bulb moments and seeing just how creative children can be when they are playing and exploring with their friends. Growing up as one of nine siblings is a big part of what drew her to working with children, and that big-family warmth comes through in everything she does. When she is not at school, you can find her hanging out with friends, spending time with family, walking her dogs, or heading out for a long drive. Her favorite family tradition of making the trip to Arizona every Easter to visit her grandma is something she looks forward to all year long.

Ms. Cate
Assistant Teacher

Ms. Cate is passionate about building meaningful relationships with children and creating a positive, nurturing classroom where they feel safe and supported. She brings patience, organization, and strong problem-solving skills to her role as an Assistant Pathways Teacher, and she loves inspiring children while continuing to grow herself through new experiences. What she enjoys most is watching children grow, play, and learn — seeing their eyes light up when a new skill clicks — and joining in their play to make those connections. Outside of school, she enjoys gardening, biking, swimming, baking, listening to music, and spending time with her sister and friends, and she makes the trip to the Minnesota State Fair every August.

As a first-generation college graduate, she brings a unique perspective to her work, and her goal is to be the kind of teacher she would have loved to have as a child. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with friends and making memories with her son.
