Our Infant Classroom
We know the first year of life can have a big influence on a child’s success in the years that follow. That’s why teachers in your child’s Infant classroom provide a loving and nurturing environment as they lay the foundation for learning. This includes literacy; communication and vocabulary skills to help your infant better express their needs; gross motor skills and sensory development; and emotional well-being.
Nurturing Active Minds, Healthy Bodies, and Happy Hearts®

Our Infant Classroom Teachers & Staff

Ms. Jayden
Ms. Jayden holds an Associate’s degree as an Early Childhood Specialist from STI and brings six years of early childhood education experience, along with two years of volunteer work at Sanford Children’s Castle, to her role as Lead Infant 2 Teacher. She is passionate about whole-child development and creating nurturing environments where every infant feels safe, supported, and excited to grow. Outside of the classroom, she loves spending time with family and friends, going to the lake, and shopping — and her dogs Duke and Rocky are always happy to see her come home.

Ms. Amanda
Ms. Amanda holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies and brings four years of hands-on experience in early childhood center settings to her role. She is passionate about nurturing the whole child and loves watching little ones grow and seeing their personalities begin to shine. When she is not at school, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, and her cats Felix and Oliver — plus her family tradition of watching Christmas movies and baking goodies together — bring her a lot of joy.

Ms. Leslie
Ms. Leslie is bilingual in English and Spanish and is passionate about providing a safe, loving, and attentive environment for the youngest learners at Primrose. She is motivated each day by the hope of making a meaningful difference in the lives of the babies and families in her care, and she finds deep joy in watching them grow and communicate in their own beautiful ways. In her personal time, she loves fishing, baking, painting, swimming, and spending time with her dogs — and her family’s big camping trip together is always a highlight of her year.

Ms. Taylor
Ms. Taylor holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and brings adaptability, compassion, and genuine patience to the classroom every single day. She is passionate about helping children reach their milestones and develop new skills in a supportive and encouraging environment, and her favorite part of the job is building meaningful connections and being someone each child can truly trust. When she is not at school, you can find her reading, coloring, baking, or getting a workout in. Her friends and family inspire her daily, and her favorite family tradition of Sunday dinners at her great grandma’s house is something she holds close to her heart.

Ms. Makelle
Ms. Blake brings a passion for shaping young minds and a heart full of creativity, patience, and enthusiasm to her role as an Infant Teacher at Primrose School of Sioux Falls. She is a trusted and encouraging presence for every baby in her care — building meaningful connections, celebrating each small milestone, and creating a safe, supportive space where little ones can grow and flourish. Currently pursuing her degree in elementary education, she brings a genuine excitement for learning and growing right alongside the children she teaches. For families, she is a dedicated and communicative partner committed to being a positive, trusted presence in each child’s life. We are so grateful for the energy, compassion, and dedication Ms. Blake brings to the Primrose family — our littlest learners, their families, and our staff are so lucky to have her.

Ms. Bailey
Ms. Bailey is passionate about helping children grow and discover new things each day, and that dedication shows in everything she brings to her role as a resource teacher. She values strong communication and teamwork and is driven by a genuine desire to keep growing as an educator. When she is not in the classroom, she loves going shopping and treating herself to a Starbucks along the way. Ms. Bailey brings warmth, enthusiasm, and a commitment to making a meaningful impact in every child’s learning journey.

Ms. Lori
Ms. Lori brings a wealth of experience and a deep love for early childhood education to her role as a support teacher. Since 1992, she has had the privilege of teaching and supporting students from Pre-K through 5th grade across a variety of educational settings, and that breadth of experience shines through in everything she does. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and an endorsement in Special Education. Ms. Lori is passionate about creating a nurturing, engaging environment where every child feels supported, challenged, and celebrated, and she is continually inspired by the enthusiasm children bring to learning each day. Watching a child gain confidence, master a new skill, or solve a problem on their own is what motivates her most. When she is not at school, you can find her gardening, catching a softball or hockey game, or traveling. Her favorite family tradition of piling into the car on Christmas Eve to take in all the neighborhood lights is a cherished one, and it perfectly reflects the warmth and joy she brings to everything she does.
