Our Preschool Pathways Classroom

Our Preschool Pathways program provides a “bridge” between our Early Preschool and Preschool classrooms for children whose birthdays will ultimately miss the cutoff date for kindergarten entrance. By identifying those children early, we can help them stay with a consistent group of peers through preschool, pre-K and kindergarten.

Health & Safety

Our Preschool Pathways Program is designed for children ages 2½ to 3½ years, providing a nurturing environment where children can build confidence, independence, and essential early learning skills.

During this important stage of development, children continue to strengthen their language, social-emotional, cognitive, and fine motor skills through hands-on learning, purposeful play, and engaging classroom experiences.

We also support children as they work toward the important developmental milestone of potty training. Our teachers partner with families to create a consistent, positive approach that follows each child’s individual readiness and needs.

At Primrose School of Parker, we help children take confident steps toward greater independence while building a strong foundation for future learning.

Our school is committed to high standards of safety and cleanliness as we create a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.

Requiring any children or staff with respiratory illness symptoms or fever to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 24 hours
Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access

Lead Preschool Pathways Teacher

Hi, I’m Keira! I absolutely love working with children and creating fun, engaging learning experiences. I especially enjoy reading, singing, and doing creative crafts with my students. While earning my high school diploma at Grandview High School, I gained experience working with children through Sunday School, which helped inspire my passion for early childhood education.

I’m a huge fan of Dr. Seuss books, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas is one of my favorites, especially because Christmas is my favorite holiday! I’m excited to get to know each wonderful child and family at Primrose School of Parker and look forward to helping children learn, grow, build confidence, and discover a love of learning in a warm and nurturing classroom environment.

Wonder Time 2: Early Art Masters – Little Ant, Big Sandwich 🐜🥪🎨

During Wonder Time 2, our young artists explored Early Art Masters: Little Ant, Big Sandwich through a fun, hands-on art and early math experience! We talked about how ants are very small compared to a big sandwich and learned that an ant has three main body parts. Children then explored shapes, sizes, and patterns by stamping the rims of small cups into paint and pressing them onto paper in a row to create their own ant bodies. This engaging activity encouraged children to explore shape recognition, size comparison, patterns, sequencing, and creative expression while strengthening fine motor skills and early mathematical thinking. At Primrose School of Parker, our hands-on learning experiences help children develop curiosity, problem-solving skills, and a strong foundation in early math, science, art, and cognitive development.

Wonder Time: Exploring Healthy Habits Through Dramatic Play 🩺🦷

During Wonder Time yesterday and today, our young learners explored self-health and healthy habits through engaging dramatic play! Children had fun giving pretend check-ups, caring for their patients, and practicing how to clean and care for teeth. Through this hands-on experience, children learned more about the importance of brushing their teeth, washing their hands, practicing good hygiene, and taking care of their bodies. Dramatic play also provided opportunities to develop empathy, communication, social-emotional skills, and confidence. At Primrose School of Parker, we make learning meaningful through playful, hands-on experiences that help children build healthy habits and important life skills while having fun!

Early Art Masters: Drip Speed Painting 🎨✨

oday, our young artists explored Early Art Masters: Drip Speed Painting! Using paintbrushes, children experimented with dripping paint onto paper and observed what happened as the colorful paint moved across their artwork. Inspired by the fun idea of melting frozen treats, this creative, hands-on activity encouraged children to explore cause and effect, movement, color, and artistic expression. Most importantly, our learners had the opportunity to follow their curiosity, make observations, experiment with materials, and discover something new through the creative process. Experiences like this help foster curiosity, creativity, confidence, fine motor development, and a love of learning. At Primrose School of Parker, we encourage children to be curious, explore their ideas, and discover the world through engaging, hands-on learning experiences.

Wonder Time 2: Rainy-Day Art 🌧️🎨

Our little weather experts explored the sights, sounds, and creativity of a rainy day during Wonder Time 2 yesterday and today! Using colorful watercolors and pipettes, our young artists created their own unique rainstorms on paper. This engaging, hands-on art experience encouraged children to strengthen their fine motor skills, explore colors and textures, and experiment with how water and paint move across the page. Most importantly, they had fun learning through creative play and discovery! At Primrose School of Parker, we love providing hands-on learning experiences that encourage curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning.
