Our Preschool Classroom
Your 3-year-old is opening up their world, developing special friendships, learning new words and forming new ideas every day. Through purposeful play, meaningful questions and direct instruction, our Preschool teachers encourage your child to think in new and different ways. Your child will have so much fun that they won’t even realize they’re developing the skills they’ll need for reading and math.

Ms. Rachael
I’m Rachael. I wanted to tell you a little about myself. With ten years of experience in child care and some college coursework in Early Childhood Education, I am dedicated to watching children learn and grow. Reading, “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” is a beloved activity. Christmas and Thanksgiving are my favorite holidays, and we also celebrate Juneteenth in our home. Our cherished family tradition of opening one gift the night before Christmas adds special excitement to the season. At home, I speak English and enjoy the company of my cat named Shorty and my dog named Bella. In my personal time, I love spending quality moments with my husband and family.

Ms. Sharatha
I’m Sharatha. I wanted to tell you a little about myself. With over 15 years of dedicated experience in child care and a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, I cherish the opportunity to connect with children through their unique storytelling and boundless imaginations. Two of my favorite children’s books, “The Gingerbread Man” and “Three Little Pigs,” embody the magic of childhood tails. Christmas holds a special place in my heart especially since my birthday falls just four days before, ensuring double the joy with presents. In our culturally diverse home, we also celebrate Diwali, adding richness to our traditions. One beloved family ritual involved gathering for potluck meals, fostering warmth and togetherness. We speak English, Malay, and Tamil at home, creating a vibrant linguistic environment. While we don’t have pets, I indulge in personal time by painting, sketching, and immersing myself in books, finding solace and inspiration in creative pursuits.

Ms. Shawnna
I’m Shawnna. I wanted to tell you a little about myself. With over 25 years of experience in childcare and more than 5 years at Primrose, I am deeply committed to helping children grow and thrive. My education at Pikes Peak College has provided me with a strong foundation to support my passion for working with young minds. One of my favorite children’s books is “Silly Sally,” a fun and engaging story that brings joy to children. Christmas is my favorite holiday, filled with festive cheer and family traditions like our annual trips to the mountains. At home, I share my space with two lovable Yorkies, Stella and Von, who bring endless joy to my life. In my personal time, I enjoy going to football games and riding horses, both of which allow me to unwind and connect with the things I love.

Ms. Julie Ann
I’m JulieAnn. I wanted to tell you a little about myself.
I have been part of the Primrose family since 2014 and have over 20 years of experience in the Early Childhood Education field. I earned my degree in Primary Education from Creighton University and am passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences for young children. What I love most about working with children is witnessing those special “aha!” moments—when curiosity clicks and learning comes alive. Being part of those discoveries is incredibly rewarding and inspires me every day. My favorite children’s book is Corduroy, and my favorite holiday is the Fourth of July, which we enjoy spending with my husband’s family in Wonder Lake, Illinois. English is spoken in my home. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, reading, and gardening.

Ms. Kristina
I’m Kristina. I wanted to tell you a little about myself.
I began my journey with Primrose Schools in 2001 and have proudly spent over 22 years in the Early Childhood Education field. I hold a degree in Child Development from College of the Sequoias and am also a Certified Nurse, which allows me to bring both educational and health-focused care into the classroom. What I love most about working with children is being part of their journey as they acquire new skills, build self-confidence, and reach important developmental milestones. I truly cherish the strong, meaningful bonds I form with children and their families and value being a trusted and supportive presence in their lives. My favorite children’s books are Goodnight Moon and Charlotte’s Web, and my favorite holiday is Christmas. At home, I speak both English and Arabic. In my free time, I enjoy traveling internationally, cooking, staying active with fitness, reading, and playing board games.
