The military brought our family to Colorado Springs in 2022, and like many newcomers, we immediately began searching for childcare for our oldest son. We quickly realized that waitlists were long, and the quality of care varied widely. In the midst of our search, an unexpected yet perfect opportunity arose.
Becoming Primrose owners wasn’t something we had initially planned, but if we had set out to find the perfect fit, we couldn’t have chosen better. The opportunity was not only serendipitous in timing but also in how well it aligned with our backgrounds. Matt, an active-duty Army officer, brings extensive experience in military leadership and business. Abigail holds a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and has taught children from toddler age through elementary school in both public and private settings.
Beyond our professional careers, we have built and grown several successful businesses together. Now, we are thrilled to dedicate our experience and passion to providing the highest-quality childcare for both our own children and yours here in Colorado Springs.
Who children become is as important as what they know is a belief that is at the core of our Balanced Learning® approach. Our exclusive early learning approach balances purposeful play with nurturing guidance from teachers to encourage curiosity, creativity, confidence and compassion. Valentine's Day
We had such a sweet time celebrating together! The children enjoyed a fun party with a mix of healthy snacks, a few special sweets, and exchanging Valentine’s Day cards with their friends.
It was so heartwarming to see their excitement as they passed out cards and practiced kindness, sharing, and friendship. Moments like these help build social skills and create lasting memories.

Our staff had a hilarious and unforgettable time at our very own Teacher Dundies Awards, inspired by The Office! 😄✨
From “Best Classroom Dance Moves” to “Most Likely to Make a Mess and Laugh About It,” every teacher got recognized with fun, lighthearted awards that celebrated their unique personalities and hard work. It was all laughter, applause, and plenty of smiles — just like a real Dundies night!

🏈👶 Baby Bowl Fun! 👶🏈
We had a blast with our Baby Bowl, where the tiniest athletes took center stage! Our little ones showed off their crawling skills in a friendly (and adorable) competition to see who would “win the Super Bowl.” 🏆
It was all about fun, giggles, and cheering on our littlest team members. Every baby was a winner in our eyes! 💛

Giving Back to the Community
The Primrose School of North Colorado Springs, in partnership with Leap Therapies, recently hosted a winter clothing drive to support families in our community. Thanks to the generosity of both the Primrose team and local families, the drive was a tremendous success.
Together, they assembled over 50 winter care bags for local families. Each bag included a warm coat, additional clothing, and essential pantry items to help families during the cold winter months. In addition, extra boxes of clothing and diapers were collected to assist even more children in need.
The overwhelming response from the community has made a meaningful impact for children and families facing challenging times this season.

Are all staff members background-checked and CPR/first-aid certified?
Yes. Every Primrose staff member undergoes a thorough background check before joining our school. All staff are also CPR and first–aid certified, so you can feel confident your child is in safe, prepared hands every day.
What curriculum or educational philosophy do you follow?
Our school uses the proprietary Primrose Schools Balanced Learning® curriculum, which is research-informed and designed to nurture the whole child — intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically. We believe in balancing teacher-guided learning with purposeful play to build a strong foundation for the future.
How do you support school readiness and the transition to kindergarten?
All of our programs are designed in age-appropriate ways to prepare children for kindergarten and beyond. We focus on early literacy and numeracy as well as social-emotional skill development — so children arrive at kindergarten confident and ready to thrive. 96% of Primrose Schools Pre-K students met ASQ benchmarks for problem solving.*
