Pre-Kindergarten I Teacher

I was born in Monterey, California, and grew up in a military family, which gave me the opportunity to live in several states, including California, Ohio, Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, South Carolina, and most recently, Tennessee. I have just moved to the Charleston area and am very excited to explore and become a part of this community. I am currently pursuing a degree in Elementary Education at Liberty University. I began working in a preschool at 16 and, at 19, I lead my own preschool classroom. I later worked as an assistant at an elementary school. I also completed an international internship and a mission trip in Costa Rica, where I worked with trafficking survivors and taught English to children. Each of these experiences deeply shaped my passion for education and strengthened my desire to support children in and out of the classroom.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, going to coffee shops, reading, and caring for my plants. I love sweet treats like ice cream, which are a must-have! My faith in the Lord and love for Jesus are the most important to me, and shape my life, especially the way I love and care for others. I am so excited to be a part of the Primrose team and to help create a nurturing, engaging environment where children can develop a lifelong love of learning. I strongly believe that every child brings something unique to the classroom, and meeting each child where they are is key to helping them grow and succeed! I look forward to building relationships with families as we work together to support each child’s growth and development.

Pre-Kindergarten I Teacher

Hi, I’m Jenna Wolbers and I grew up in Jacksonville, Florida where I met my awesome fiancée, Kenny. After going to college at Stetson University for Clarinet Performance and Music Theory, we moved to Nashville, Tennessee where I found my love for teaching. After teaching early childhood music classes and lessons, we went on to move to Charleston, where I found Primrose. I’m super excited to incorporate my love for music making into the classes!

When not at Primrose, I love playing with my dog Gravy, hanging out by the water, or playing my favorite cozy game. “Just don’t give up trying to do what you really want to do. Where there is love and inspiration, I don’t think you can go wrong.”  -Ella Fitzgerald

Pre-Kindergarten II Teacher

Originally from Ohio, I spent several years in Nashville, Tennessee before moving to Charleston in 2023 to explore new opportunities. With a Bachelor of Science in Social Justice and a minor in Public Policy from Trevecca Nazarene University, I bring valuable experience in advocacy, academic enrichment, and youth engagement, particularly through my work with youth in underserved communities.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy creating art, spending time in nature, and sharing quality time with friends. I’m excited to make a meaningful impact every day by empowering children through early education in a nurturing and supportive environment here at Primrose!

Pre-Kindergarten II Teacher

I was born and raised in Northern California. Upon graduating from high school, I moved to South Carolina to attend college at Coastal Carolina University. I graduated in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in communications and a minor in hospitality. Ultimately, I fell in love with the south and decided to remain in South Carolina. My husband, also a Coastal Carolina Alumni, and I have lived in Charleston for 4 years. We are so excited to become parents this year!

My experience working with children began in California and has continued over the past decade. It began with volunteering in classrooms during breaks from my own school, to working as a lifeguard and teaching swim lessons, to ultimately serving as a nanny for families. It is now an honor to be a member of the Primrose team! Having come from a family of educators, I believe in the magic of looking at the world through children’s eyes and facilitating their learning and personal growth. In the words of Roald Dahl, “Above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.”

When I am not at work, I enjoy going to the beach, reading, walking my dog Oliver, traveling, and spending time with my friends & family. I look forward to working with our youngest learners, their families, and my colleagues!

Pre-K Support Teacher

Hi, my name is Anne Perez, and I am a Charleston native, graduate from Goose Creek High School and the University of South Carolina. I have experience working as a teacher in an after-school program and as a camp counselor. That sparked my passion for youth development! I truly enjoy childcare, as I don’t take for granted their honesty and eagerness to explore the world. I have enjoyed building relationships with parents and finding what works best for each child. I’m most excited to learn every one’s different learning styles and personalities.

Outside of work, I love to be outdoors and catch up on reading. I’m excited to be a part of the Primrose Team and hope to nurture a supportive and engaging learning environment.

Our family would love to meet yours.
