Ms. Kayty Hedge
Hi my name is Kayty Hedge, and I just moved to the Charleston area from Nashville, Tennessee. I absolutely love it here and it’s been a huge accomplishment moving states by myself at 20 years old. While in Nashville, I worked for a preschool that gave me the opportunity to travel to multiple schools throughout middle Tennessee. Having that position helped me gain experience with ages infants to pre-k and build connections with multiple families. During that time, I was also a part-time nanny for a family that had a 2 1/2-year-old and a newborn infant. Seeing a child understand something for the first time and knowing that I played a part in helping them get there makes teaching so meaningful to me. I love being someone children can look up to, trust, and feel supported by every day!
Outside of Primrose, I like to cook/try new recipes, coffee shops, exploring the area, and hanging out with my boyfriend and his family! I’m so pumped to be part of the Primrose team and help create a fun, engaging, and welcoming atmosphere every day! I truly believe that patience and recognizing each child’s individuality are key to helping children develop a lifelong love of learning and achieve success not only in school but throughout their lives.
