Our Toddler Classroom

An action-packed day full of fun and purposeful play helps toddlers develop Active Minds, Healthy Bodies, and Happy Hearts®. We know 1-year-olds are constantly on the move, exploring and learning through play at every turn. Primrose teachers use that energy and enthusiasm to foster cognitive, social, emotional and physical skills through engaging games and activities.

Health & Safety

Our school is committed to high standards of safety and cleanliness as we create a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.

  • Requiring any children or staff with respiratory illness symptoms or fever to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 24 hours
  • Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
  • Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
  • Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
  • Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
  • Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
  • Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
  • Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access

I was born in Queens, NY, and was raised in Richmond, VA. I now live in Columbus, Ohio with my husband and our two daughters. I’ve been working in the child care field since 2008, working mainly with infants. I received my Associate of Arts Degree in IT in 2014, and my Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering. The Primrose character I most relate to is Benjamin. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, doing crafts and spending time with my family. I also love traveling to visit our families in Michigan and Virginia.

My history in childcare is extensive.  I began babysitting at 13, worked for many years in the NICU at Children’s, and I’m raising two kids of my own.  I graduated from Pickerington North in 2007.  I like working with kids because I get to see them grow and learn as individuals at their own pace.  At home, I love spending time with my family, cooking, making music, and cuddling with my kitties.  Over the next year, I look forward to providing a safe, positive, and nurturing environment for all of your little ones.

I have two siblings, ages 12 and 6, and I have been babysitting off and on since I was 12. I enjoy taking my younger brother outside a lot, and we both enjoy the outdoors. It doesn’t matter how much sleep I’ve gotten the night before — I run on caffeine! I go hiking every other weekend with my best friend or boyfriend. I love to travel and have been to eight different states. My favorite thing about being around children is seeing them smile and hearing them laugh!

I moved to Columbus in 2015 from Bowling Green. I have a dog named Aspen. I love what I do, and I am so excited to be working at Primrose! I come from a large family so working with children is basically in my blood! I am so excited to learn and grow with Primrose and your children!

I can’t wait to learn more about you and your family.

Our family would love to meet yours.
