Our Preschool Classroom

Your 3-year-old is opening up their world, developing special friendships, learning new words and forming new ideas every day. Through purposeful play, meaningful questions and direct instruction, our Preschool teachers encourage your child to think in new and different ways. Your child will have so much fun that they won’t even realize they’re developing the skills they’ll need for reading and math.

  • Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
  • Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
  • Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
  • Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
  • Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
  • Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
  • Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access

Preschool Teacher

I am a recent graduate from The Ohio State University with a degree in Social Work, and previously I worked as a school social worker intern with grades K-8. I love working with children of all ages and watching them learn about themselves and the world they live in! In my free time, I like to bounce between hobbies such as drawing, baking, and origami as well as explore downtown with my friends.

I’m Ms. Nyamungusha. I wanted to tell you a little about myself.

I am excited to be part of the team here at the Primrose School of Johnstown Road. I have three years of experience working with children and truly enjoy being part of their early learning journey. I love teaching because I get to witness their growth, build meaningful bonds, and create a safe, nurturing space. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy going to the gym, playing volleyball, watching movies, and spending time with my friends. I’m also currently learning to play the piano! This year, I’m looking forward to building new bonds, growing both individually and together as a classroom!

I graduated from Westerville Central High School. I’m new to the classroom setting but I am very excited to get to know your children and help them learn and grow! I love creating a safe and fun environment where the children learn to feel comfortable and confident! In my free time, I enjoy exploring around Columbus with my two dogs, Moose and Luna. I also enjoy relaxing at home, cuddling up on the couch, and watching Netflix. One of my biggest dreams is to travel and explore the world! I am so excited to meet you and your children!
