Health & Safety
At Our School, Safety and Cleanliness Come First
We are deeply committed to maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and cleanliness to create a caring and nurturing environment where every child can thrive. Our protocols are designed to ensure peace of mind for families while supporting the well-being of our students and staff.
Here’s how we prioritize health and safety every day:
-
Illness Policy: Children or staff exhibiting respiratory symptoms or a fever of 100.4°F or higher are required to return home and remain home until they are fever-free for at least 24 hours without medication.
-
Toy Sanitization: High-touch toys are frequently disinfected and sanitized to minimize the spread of germs.
-
Handwashing Routines: Handwashing is a core part of our daily curriculum and staff protocols, with frequent handwashing practiced by both children and staff.
-
Illness Awareness: Our teachers receive training to recognize common signs of illness in children, and every classroom is equipped with signage to keep this top of mind.
-
Linen Hygiene: Crib sheets for infants are laundered daily. Older children have individual cots and blankets that are washed weekly.
-
Appropriate Supervision: We maintain proper teacher-to-student ratios to ensure safety, supervision, and quality care.
-
Staff Training: Our staff receives ongoing health and safety training, including CPR, first aid, SIDS prevention, and brain trauma awareness.
-
Safe School Plans: Each classroom has an up-to-date, customized Safe School Plan posted for quick access by teachers.
-
Secure Entry Protocols: Access to the building is strictly limited. Only management holds the front door code, and a member of management is always present at the entrance to monitor access and ensure only current families are admitted.

2022 Teacher of the Year | Primrose School of Frisco at Independence
Mrs. Annie joined the Primrose School of Frisco at Independence in 2022, bringing with her valuable experience from another Primrose school location. As both an educator and a Primrose parent—her two daughters attended Primrose—she brings a unique and heartfelt perspective to the classroom.
Mrs. Annie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, but her true passion lies in early childhood education. She is dedicated to creating a nurturing, engaging learning environment where children feel supported as they grow and reach important developmental milestones.
Her favorite part of teaching is witnessing the “lightbulb” moments when a child grasps a new concept or skill. In recognition of her outstanding dedication, Mrs. Annie was honored as the 2022 Teacher of the Year.

Miss Regina
Primrose Team Member Since 2025 | Early Childhood Educator
Primrose School of Frisco at Independence
Miss Regina is originally from Mexico City and brings a wealth of experience and passion to her work with children. She has spent four years tutoring students in reading and has over ten years of babysitting experience, giving her a deep understanding of how children learn and grow.
Miss Regina believes that learning is a two-way street: while children gain knowledge from their teachers, teachers are continually inspired and taught by their students. She studied Biology, Psychology, and Neuroscience at SMU and is currently working on publishing a neuropsychiatric epilepsy paper.
Her dedication, curiosity, and nurturing approach make her a truly inspiring mentor for every child she works with.
