Our Preschool Classroom
Your 3-year-old is opening up their world, developing special friendships, learning new words and forming new ideas every day. Through purposeful play, meaningful questions and direct instruction, our Preschool teachers encourage your child to think in new and different ways. Your child will have so much fun that they won’t even realize they’re developing the skills they’ll need for reading and math.

Our Preschool Classroom Teachers & Staff

Mrs. Kumari
Hi my name Mrs. Kumari and I’m a Preschool teacher at Primrose. I’ve been in Minnesota since 2021, and in the United States since 2019. I was born and raised in India where I got my Bachelors in Science and Masters in Botany, so I love plants and gardening!
In 2002, I got married to my husband and spent a couple years traveling around the world . I later got my Bachelors in Education in 2019, before moving here. I have two daughters that are both in high school right now. I love cooking, gardening, and watching sunsets. I love working with kids because I want to help children in building a strong foundation for a better and healthier society.

Ms. Hurkman
Hello, I wanted to formally introduce myself as Ms. Hurkman. I will be student teaching at Primrose from September 5th through December 1st. I am pleased and excited to spend time with your children and learn and experience the Primrose way of doing things. As well as growing in knowledge and experiences in my teaching journey. I will be student teaching under the mentorship of Mrs. Nibbe Monday through Friday. I am currently going to school at Saint Paul Community College to get an associate degree in early childhood education. I hope to work with young minds in the Preschool age group when I graduate college. That stated I am so excited to have this opportunity at Primrose and get to know your children. A little more about me is that in my spare time I like hanging out with my friends and family. I love spoiling my black lab who just turned 4 1/2. Something that makes me passionate about teaching is seeing children and their creative new minds. Children have the most precious mind and enormous creativity, and it is super exciting to see it brought to life. I hope to help children bring their wonderful thinking to life.

Mrs. Kratzke
My Name is Miss Kratzke/Miss K
I am excited to be one of your child’s teachers! My primary experience is at a Montessori school. I worked for 3 years in a Preschool classroom ( ages 2 ½ to 6 years). I left for a short while and worked as a nanny and part time at an in-home daycare ( ages 9 months to 10 years). I went back to the Montessori school I previously had been at; and began teaching in the older toddler classroom. I was there until February 2024. I then taught children at another childcare center for a little over a year. I recently joined the Primrose family. I am loving getting to know all the children and families and wonderful teachers. I love seeing the children learn new things and tell me interesting and sometimes funny stories about their lives.
I have a 2 year applied associate science educational assistant degree from Ridgewater College in Hutchinson, MN. I have also volunteered at my Church’s Sunday school and VBS programs.
I grew up west of Waconia. I am currently living in Chaska and have an adorable tuxedo kitty named Threepete (Pete)

Mr. Eide

I am excited to get to know all of you!
