Leslie Moore-Martinez

I am Leslie Moore-Martinez, the onsite owner and operator of Primrose School at The Park, which I opened in 2002, and Primrose School of West Cary, which I’ve had the privilege of owning since 2018. I am actively involved in the day-to-day operations at both schools, and you will see me on campus every day, working closely with families, children, and staff. Being present and hands-on is something I truly value and believe makes all the difference.

Over the years, both schools have earned an outstanding reputation in the community for providing high-quality early education and care. We are more than a daycare! I am proud to share that we hold the highest-rated license from the State of North Carolina (Five Stars) and are nationally accredited through Cognia. We have also been honored with awards such as Morrisville Small Business of the Year, Best of the West, Cary Magazine’s Maggy Award, Carolina Parent’s Top 40 Employers in NC, along with several other recognitions that reflect our commitment to excellence.

I was honored to serve on the Primrose Schools Franchising Advisory Council, representing fellow owners across North Carolina, Virginia, Indiana, and Ohio. And in 2011, I received the President’s Award from Primrose—an incredible recognition of my work as one of the top owner/operators in the country. In addition to my role at the school, I am passionate about giving back with initiatives like Food Drives, Book Drives, Diaper Drives and more. I serve on several local boards (Truist Community Board and The Carying Place, a non-profit supporting working homeless families) and committees like the Kay Yow Cancer Fund which supports women with cancer. I make it a priority to stay actively involved in my community and support efforts that make a positive impact on the lives of others.

I strongly believe the heart of these schools is the amazing Primrose TEAM from the Leadership that has worked beside me for over 20 years to our dedicated Teachers that are experienced, compassionate, and fully committed to supporting each child’s growth and success. We consider it an honor to be a part of your family’s journey.

Diaper Drive 2025

In honor of Diaper Need Awareness Month, our amazing Primrose families and staff collected over 41,000 diapers to help families across our community. Primrose Schools of the Greater Triangle partnered with the Durham Bulls to support the Diaper Bank of North Carolina - and together, we made a BIG impact! This is just one of the MANY ways Primrose School of West Cary gives back to our community, and we're so thankful to everyone who joined us in supporting this important cause.

We’re proud to share that Primrose School of West Cary has successfully renewed our Five-Star License! This renewal reflects our continued commitment to providing high-quality care, a safe and nurturing environment, and excellence in early childhood education. Thank you to our dedicated staff, families, and community for helping us maintain the highest standards of care. The quality of care a program provides is critical information for parents. Professional Development Day 2025

Our staff had a fantastic time at our annual Professional Development Day at the Hilton North Raleigh! The day was filled with inspiring guest speakers, engaging sessions, lots of laughter, and even some exciting door prizes. Beyond learning new teaching strategies and techniques, it was a wonderful opportunity to connect, share ideas, and support one another. Professional Development Day is more than just a chance to enhance our skills—it’s a reminder of the importance of fostering kindness, empathy, and collaboration in order to provide the best daycare experience for our children and families. We’re grateful for the time spent together learning, growing, and celebrating the dedication and passion that make our team so extraordinary.

Kay Yow Cancer Run/Walk

Our staff came together again this year to support the annual Kay Yow Cancer Run/Walk! We gathered at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary to celebrate and honor cancer survivors, caregivers, friends, and family. It was a meaningful day filled with community, hope, and inspiration as we joined countless others in raising awareness and funds for this incredible organization. Participating in the Kay Yow Cancer Run/Walk is more than just an event—it’s an opportunity to stand together in support of those affected by cancer and to help further the mission of the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, which provides crucial resources for research, patient support, and advocacy. We are proud to be part of such an important cause and grateful for the chance to make a difference in the lives of so many.

Canned Food Drive

Our students and families from both Primrose locations came together once again for our annual Caring and Giving Canned Food Drive, collecting nearly 1,000 items! All donations will be given to the Food Bank of Eastern and Central North Carolina, helping families in our community who are in need. This cherished event is more than just a drive—it’s an opportunity for our children to learn the value of giving, empathy, and community service. By participating, they gain a firsthand understanding of how small acts of kindness can make a big difference in the lives of others. We are so proud of our students and families for embracing the spirit of generosity and helping to support those who need it most.

Cary Fire Department Visit

Thank you to the Cary Fire Department for visiting our school and teaching our children about fire safety! This hands-on experience perfectly supports the Primrose Balanced Learning® approach, which encourages learning through exploration, conversation, and active engagement. Our students loved seeing the firefighters’ gear, practicing safety tips, and learning how community helpers keep us safe. It’s moments like these that deepen understanding, spark curiosity, and help our children make meaningful connections to the world around them.

Election Day at Primrose

We held a mock election our school to help teach the children about the election process. After learning about how citizens vote, why elections are important, and the role leaders play in a community, the students at Primrose School of West Cary in Morrisville held their own election to choose the school mascot. They created voting cards, cast their ballots, and experienced firsthand how every vote counts!

Wool E. Bull Visits Primrose

To help kick off our Diaper Drive, Wool E. Bull came out for a visit! We’re thrilled to partner with the Durham Bulls this year to collect diapers for the North Carolina Diaper Bank. Together, we’re teaching our children the power of helping others while supporting families in our community who need essential supplies. What a fun—and meaningful—way to start our drive and teach our preschoolers the value of generosity.

Yes. Every Primrose staff member undergoes a thorough background check before joining our school. All staff are also CPR and first–aid certified, so you can feel confident your child is in safe, prepared hands every day.
