An action-packed day full of fun and purposeful play helps toddlers develop Active Minds, Healthy Bodies, and Happy Hearts®. We know 1-year-olds are constantly on the move, exploring and learning through play at every turn. Primrose teachers use that energy and enthusiasm to foster cognitive, social, emotional and physical skills through engaging games and activities.

Health & Safety
Our school is committed to high standards of safety and cleanliness as we create a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
- Requiring any children or staff with respiratory illness symptoms or fever to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 24 hours
- Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
- Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
- Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
- Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
- Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
- Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
- Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access
Our Toddler Classroom Teachers & Staff

Gloria Ybarra
Ms. Gloria Ybarra joined the Primrose School of Sugar Land in 2002 and works as the Lead Teacher in our Young Toddler class. She has over 30 years of experience working with children!
Ms. Ybarra, originally from Richmond, TX, has one daughter and two grandchildren. She loves both Mexican food and seafood and cheers on the Texans football team. She enjoys going to the movies and shopping during her free time.
Ms. Ybarra’s favorite book is “Brown Bear” and her favorite Primrose Happy Hearts character is Libby who signifies fairness and is calm and thoughtful. Ms. Ybarra shares many of the same characteristics as Libby!

Grace Negus
Ms. Grace brings over 9 months of childcare experience and a strong passion for supporting children’s developmental growth. She is dedicated to creating a nurturing environment where children can learn and thrive.
Her favorite children’s book, Green Eggs and Ham, reflects her fun and engaging approach to learning. She especially enjoys celebrating Thanksgiving, a time made even more special by her family tradition of enjoying cinnamon rolls for breakfast together.
Ms. Grace speaks English at home and, in her personal time, loves to read, bake, and craft—creative hobbies that often inspire her work with children.

Sara Haroon
Mrs. Sara Haroon joined Primrose School of Sugar Land in March of 2022. Mrs. Sara is originally from Pakistan where she got her degree in Psychology. Mrs. Sara also earned a Child Development Associates. She is a mother of five beautiful children, and her youngest is here at Primrose!
Mrs. Sara loves working with children. She enjoys reading to them, singing with them and especially enjoy doing art activities. One of her favorite memories is when a three-year-old who had not begun speaking, started saying words!
