Mr. Brad
As former Primrose Parents, we are pleased to bring our second Primrose School to Meridian and greater Boise. The Leader in Early Education and Care, now serving the Treasure Valley!
Mr. Brad has spent his entire career in Education. Holding a B.S. in Education, a M.Ed. and a J.D., and as a 1st generation college graduate, Brad has always kept the student experience top of mind. Ensuring students are exposed to challenging curriculum, taught by committed and caring teachers drives our individual and group excellence.
Mr. Brad is an Air Force Veteran and was honorably discharged, having attained the rank of SSGT.
We have two children, one of whom attended a Primrose School in another state and helped initiate this entire process. We have 2 dogs, enjoy family time, being outdoors, attending our kid’s events and exploring Idaho!

Ms. Stephanie
Stephanie is our Executive Director and has 10 years of Primrose experience. Stephanie moved from Colorado to Idaho with her husband for his job over four years ago. From April 2015 through June 2021, she was employed at the Primrose School of Castle Rock and Primrose School of Lone Tree as their Executive Director, with day-to-day management responsibilities. She has over 20 years of experience in the Early Childhood Field.
Stephanie graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Colorado Christian University. She is excited and honored to be a part of a successful school that believes in the success of every young child. While working closely with the teachers and families, she has witnessed how beneficial the Balanced Learning Curriculum is to each student. While maintaining developmentally appropriate activities for each age group, the curriculum is fun and exciting. She looks forward to ensuring an environment where children flourish and where health and safety remain Priority Number One.

Ms. Sara
My name is Miss Sara.
I began working in the childcare field after graduating High School in 2000. I have accumulated 16 Early Childhood Education units in college in addition to several training courses. I have been a lead teacher in several classrooms from 2’s up to kindergarten, spanning over nearly 25 years. I relocated to Idaho in January of 2024 when I became part of the Primrose family. I started with Primrose North Meridian as a lead teacher in both the Wonder and Venture programs. This journey with Primrose has brought me to my current position as Director of Operations at our newest location, Primrose School of South Meridian.

Ms. Serene
Hi! My name is Miss Serene and I am so excited to be a part of your Primrose School of South Meridian leadership team as the Director of Admissions and Enrollment!
I have 9 years of experience in Early Childhood Education, ranging from nannying to being a Lead Preschool teacher, as well as Leadership positions at other facilities. I’ve been very fortunate to pursue my CDA through the IdahoSTARS program. I was attracted to Primrose Schools because of their impeccable reputation in the valley, unique Balanced Learning approach and high standards.
In my free time, I enjoy reading poetry and plays and practicing music as I was trained in classical and jazz double bass performance. I love spending time outside on my 50-acre farm in Kuna and visiting the mountains of Robie Creek, Idaho where I was born and raised.

Ms. Mona
I am incredibly excited to serve as Director of Education at Primrose School of South Meridian. I bring a deep passion for shaping young minds through robust curriculum development and a strong focus on STEM-based growth.
I have spent three wonderful years in childcare here in Boise, beginning as a Lead Teacher and progressing to Curriculum Director, complemented by four formative years in Taiwan, dedicated to guiding young learners. While my academic background includes a bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering from India, my true calling and passion have always been to work and thrive in early childhood education. This unique blend of analytical thinking and nurturing dedication allows me to approach child development with both innovative strategies and heartfelt care.
My experience has truly honed my skills in fostering environments where children can thrive, and I look forward to contributing to a vibrant learning environment where every child can flourish, and to supporting our wonderful team and families here at Primrose School of South Meridian.
In my free time, I love spending quality time with my family and friends. My wonderful 3-year-old son and our playful pet, Simba, certainly keep me busy and engaged over the weekends! I also enjoy getting my hands dirty with gardening, finding relaxation and joy in nature. When I’m not busy at home, I love traveling and exploring new places, always eager for a new adventure. And of course, there’s nothing quite like the warmth and creativity of baking to unwind.

Franchise Owners
Brad & Brenda Shafer
We are the proud owners of Primrose Schools of North and South Meridian, Brenda and Brad Shafer.
After being frustrated with limited learning growth at a daycare in KY for our daughter, Primrose was recommended to us.
From the first moment, we perceived a significant difference. A personal and friendly greeting by the Director, the cleanliness of the building, seeing happy children and teachers – everything was at a higher level and clearly, centered on the children.
Our Daughter THRIVED at Primrose! She was making leaps in her learning, she was excited to go every morning, her teachers were kind and the daily pictures/check-ins through the Procare app created peace of mind and gave us a window into her day.
Upon learning of a pending move to Boise, we sought a Primrose for her and learned Primrose was not yet in ID. Recalling Primrose was a franchise, we inquired, learned more about providing a meaningful preschool experience and initiated the process. We opened our first school, Primrose School of North Meridian in September of 2023!
Brad has worked in education his entire career and has two degrees in Education. Brenda conducted the research when seeking care for both of our children and understands key differentiators. Brad is the on-site owner/operator and Brenda (a former Nurse) will continue her health law practice. Both Brenda and Brad are military veterans.
We have two children and love family activities such and skiing, games, spending time with Grandparents and daytrips. We love living in Boise and in Idaho!
“Who children become is as important as what they know” is a belief that is at the core of our Balanced Learning® curriculum. Our exclusive early learning approach balances purposeful play with nurturing guidance from teachers to encourage curiosity, creativity, confidence and compassion. We deliver more than a curriculum; it’s a life-changing early learning experience for children and their families.
We are excited to meet you and your family!
