Our teachers and caregivers are trained, ready and excited to help spark lightbulb moments for your child. We invite you to visit and see our Balanced Learning approach in action
Meet Piyoosh and Neha Jalan, proud multi-unit Franchise Owners of Primrose School of Livermore and Silicon Forest. The Jalans are longtime residents of the Bay Area and have been operating Primrose School of Livermore for multiple years and are excited to bring the high-quality Primrose Experience to Hillsboro/Silicon Forest families. Mr. Jackie Jones will be the resident Executive Director making sure we are delivering high quality Primrose experience to our families on a consistent basis.
Neha and Piyoosh discovered the need for high-quality early education in their area when they had their first daughter, Ishita in 2008. “When we had Ishita, we could not find one facility that had the combination of a nurturing, loving environment and the balanced learning we wanted for our daughter,” Neha said.
As a teacher herself with a background in early education, Neha took matters into her own hands. “I ended up leaving my teaching career and started my own home-based childcare for Bay Area families in 2008.”
In 2011, with the birth of their son, Samar, just a few months away, the Jalans decided to go one step further in helping Neha pursue her dreams by researching child care franchises. They flew to Houston to visit a Primrose School. “We were so impressed with the Primrose curriculum, infrastructure, philosophy and culture that we instantly decided to become part of the Primrose family,” Piyoosh said.
While both Neha and Piyoosh are originally from India, though they grew up on opposite sides of the country. Piyoosh first came to America to attend college at Cornell University, and upon graduating with a master’s degree in Computer Science he decided to stay in the country. He moved to California in 2003 and began his career in Silicon Valley, working for companies that include IBM, Yahoo! and Microsoft. Meanwhile, Neha earned a degree in Information Technology from Manipal University in the technology hub of Hyderabad, India. Teaching has always been her passion, however, so after graduation she took a teaching position at one of the largest preschool franchises in India and had great success, earning a Teacher of the Year award in 2004.
“As a mother of two wonderful children, I understand how difficult it is to place your child in someone else's care,” Neha said. “Primrose School of Silicon Forest will always strive to be a home away from home. We will partner with parents in order to serve children with the same passion, care and love they see at home.”

This week in SAC: Squishy, Fizzy, Fun Water rockets, explosions and slime, oh my! Adventures conducted fun, messy experiments that were sure to engage their ingenuity and complete engineering design challenges that sparked their innovation skills. This week our students made and explored slime, created volcanos out of paper mache, went on virtual field trips to the Museum of Nature and Science, made and explored Oobleck, and discussed and predicted what might happen when they explored the ingredients of soda, and mentos! Please enjoy a few snapshots of week 2 of Summer Adventure Club: Squishy, Fizzy, Fun! Next week's theme: Art Smarts
Our Balanced Learning® approach weaves in character development and life skills into daily learning experiences because we believe who children become is as important as what they know.
This is a friendly reminder that we will CLOSED on Monday July 4th in observance of Independence Day! Have a great long weekend and we will see you all back on Tuesday July 5th!
To better meet the individual needs of every child, we’re proud to implement Ages & Stages Questionnaires® (ASQ®-3 and ASQ®:SE-2) in Primrose schools across the country.
Our new exclusive Harmony & Heart® program integrates our proprietary music and books in a variety of thoughtful ways each day. Through learning about music, while simultaneously being exposed to concepts in math, language, and character development, your child will grow as a musician, a student, and a person.
Congrats Ms. Rebecca on becoming our July Apple of our Eye! We are so grateful to have you on our team here at Primrose School of Silicon Forest! You have done a spectacular job helping out in all classrooms, getting to know the children and building relationships with the staff and families. Your kind heart and patience with every individual child is seen daily. You demonstrate genuine knowledge and happiness towards working in Early Childcare. Thank you for being a team player, dedicated staff member and hard worker.
Each Primrose school is held to high standards of safety and cleanliness while maintaining a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
We have loved Primrose since our first tour back when we were in our second trimester of pregnancy with Logan. Our son Logan has been in the infant room since he was 4.5 months old and every week he continues to show us how much he learns with his new skills. More importantly, he shows us that he is loved and feels safe at Primrose. Every morning we drop him off and either Ms Karen or Ms Lorenna meet him at the door and he has a big smile on his face upon seeing them. We also appreciate Mr Jackie's openness and willingness to work with us on any questions or worries us first time parents have. Thank you to all the staff and teachers for taking such good care of our boy. We are so happy with our choice for Logan's second home.
There’s no question that parents want their preschoolers to grasp the basics of colors, numbers and letters to foster a lifetime of learning.
It might seem odd to think about your preschooler exploring data analysis and algebra.
Thank you to all of you who were able to come out and celebrate the kick off our summer with our local Heightscream Ice Cream Truck! We had over 200 children and families come through all current, new and old! Many special treats were consumed! Special shout out to our amazing staff who were able to include all students and have a special treat of their own! Check out a few highlights from the afternoon!
It's a fact: children learn better when they are engaged. That's why purposeful play and nurturing guidance from teachers are key components of Balanced Learning. See how this time-tested approach with a strong emphasis on life skills and character development can help your child develop and excel.
