Franchise Owner
Sruthi Gurrala and Beenish Bhatia
We are Sruthi Gurrala and Beenish Bhatia, proud owners of the Primrose School of Severn.
As parents and passionate advocates for early childhood education, it’s an incredible honor to bring the exceptional Primrose experience to families in this wonderful community.
Our journey with Primrose began in 2015, when we were searching for a preschool for our oldest son.
The Balanced Learning® approach, which thoughtfully integrates purposeful play, character development, and academic excellence deeply resonated with us. We saw how this nurturing environment fosters curiosity, creativity, and compassion in young children. That inspiration led us to share this meaningful experience with other families.
Last year, we proudly opened our first Primrose School in Annapolis. The response from families has been overwhelmingly positive, and we absolutely love the journey. From the joy on children’s faces each day to the incredible partnerships we have built with dedicated teachers and families, it has been a deeply rewarding experience that has only strengthened our commitment to early education.
Beenish and I met in high school and have been married for 19 wonderful years. Over the past decade, we have successfully owned and operated several businesses, building a strong foundation as both life partners and business partners. Primrose has given us the unique opportunity to merge our entrepreneurial background with our shared passion for making a difference in children’s lives.
For me, early childhood education is more than a career, it’s a calling. I have always believed the early years are the most critical in a child’s development, and I am committed to creating a safe, nurturing and inspiring space where every child can thrive. Being part of each child’s growth and learning journey is one of the most fulfilling roles I have ever had.
Family is at the heart of everything we do. As parents of three energetic boys, we fully understand the joys and challenges of raising young children. Our lives revolve around sports, school events, and quality family time. With our boys active in multiple sports, cheering them on at their games is not just joy, it’s one of the highlights of our week. These meaningful moments keep us grounded and continually inspire our commitment to supporting families like yours.
At Primrose, we believe who children become is just as important as what they know. That belief is at the core of everything we do. We are thrilled to extend the Primrose mission to the Severn community and can’t wait to welcome your family into our school.
We are excited to meet you and your family!
