Our Preschool Pathways Classroom
Our Preschool Pathways program provides a “bridge” between our Early Preschool and Preschool classrooms for children whose birthdays will ultimately miss the cutoff date for kindergarten entrance. By identifying those children early, we can help them stay with a consistent group of peers through preschool, pre-K and kindergarten.
Nurturing Active Minds, Healthy Bodies, and Happy Hearts®

Health & Safety
Our school is committed to high standards of safety and cleanliness as we create a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
- Requiring any children or staff with respiratory illness symptoms or fever to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 24 hours
- Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
- Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
- Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
- Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
- Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
- Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
- Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access
- Dual layer security to enter the school, video monitor that allows us to go into lock down during core part of the day. Two layers of security to pass through before getting into the school.
- Update HVAC systems with air filtration in every classroom, pumping in oxidized air targeting airbourne viruses keeping our air quality excellent.

Ms. Samantha Ashcraft
Hi, I’m Ms. Sam!
I’m excited to be part of the Primrose School of North Olathe family! I live in Olathe with my husband and our four wonderful children. With more than 12 years of experience in early childhood education, I have found my true passion in helping young children learn, grow, and reach important milestones at their own pace.
I believe every child develops on their own unique timeline, and it’s a privilege to encourage and celebrate each accomplishment along the way. My goal is to create a classroom where every child feels safe, supported, and confident as they discover a lifelong love of learning.
One of my favorite reminders as an educator is:
“Popcorn is prepared in the same pot, in the same heat, in the same oil—yet the kernels do not pop at the same time. Don’t compare your child to others. Their turn is coming.”
I look forward to getting to know you and your family and partnering with you throughout your child’s learning journey!
