Mrs. Cookie McFarland
Ms. McFarland has a deep passion for helping children learn and grow in a nurturing and stimulating environment. She truly believes in the importance of early childhood education and its impact on a child’s development.
Throughout her career, Ms. McFarland has held various roles in the field of early childhood education, including teacher, curriculum coordinator, and now director. She has a keen understanding of child development and pedagogy, and continuously seeks out opportunities for professional development to stay current on the latest research and best practices in the field.
As the Director of Primrose School of North Mason Creek, Ms. McFarland is dedicated to providing a safe, enriching, and supportive learning environment for all children. She works closely with parents, teachers, and staff to ensure that each child receives individualized attention and care.
Mrs. McFarland’s leadership and expertise have helped the school to maintain a high standard of excellence and accreditation. She is committed to creating a warm and welcoming community where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Mrs. Emery holds a degree in Early Childhood Education from Oregon State University. She has over 15 years of experience in this field, eight of them with Primrose. Mrs. Emery will oversee the implementation of daily operations and educational programming on the campus.

Ms. Lesley Prosper
Ms. Lesley Prosper is from St. John’s, Antigua. She attended the University of the West Indies. Ms. Prosper started as a preschool teacher for Primrose School of Eldridge Parkway in 2009. She was an Educational Coach for the Venture Program until 2023 at Eldridge Parkway when she became an Educational Coach for 4 Primrose Schools. She has over 16 years of experience in childcare.

Greetings! I am Yzaimar Diaz, hailing from the vibrant country of Venezuela. My educational journey began at Maria Ouxiliadora School, culminating in a prestigious Masters Degree in Teaching for Higher Education from Rafael Maria Baralt Experimental University. With a rich background as a University Professor for two decades, I now bring my passion for education to the youngest minds as an infant teacher at Primrose Schools. I am thrilled to join this family, eager to not only impart knowledge, but also to engage with and learn from each unique child, their experiences, and their individual perspectives on the world. Together, let us embark on a journey of discovery and growth.

Michael and Lou Ann McLaughlin
Michael and Lou Ann McLaughlin are seasoned Primrose School owners with degrees in Education, Business and Law from Baylor University. Lou Ann’s degree includes a specialization in early childhood education, and she has taught Kindergarten and all elementary school grades in both public and private schools in Texas. Lou Ann holds a Masters Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Houston. She is a Texas certified preschool director and trainer. Lou Ann has served on numerous SACS/CITA accreditation committees and on the Primrose Advisory Council. She is currently serving on the Texas AdvancEd Council representing early childhood interests. Mr. and Mrs. McLaughlin are the proud recipients of the prestigious Primrose Schools President’s Award for outstanding achievement. They are active participants in the Houston Children’s Fund benefitting Houston’s most needy children. Michael and Lou Ann are the proud grandparents of five adorable grandchildren, two of them are Primrose students!
