Franchise Owner
Jon and Britney Miller
Meet Jon and Britney Miller, proud Franchise Owner of Primrose School of Lafayette.
Britney discovered her passion for educating children while working for a Primrose school during college breaks. After college, Britney pursued a successful career in sales; however, Britney wasn’t fulfilled and wanted to make a difference by impacting the lives of others.
In, 2009, she decided to leave her job in Arizona and pack up her things to go back to working at a Primrose school. Britney was so impressed with the Balanced Learning® curriculum and the fun, loving atmosphere that she knew she wanted to be a part of this wonderful program and pursued the opportunity to open her very own school. With all her determination and hard work, Britney became a Franchise Owner in 2010 and opened her school on February 6, 2012.
Britney believes passionately in early childhood education and the life-long benefits children gain when they are given a solid foundation. She is excited to partner with parents to provide a safe, fun learning environment for their children.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are all staff members background-checked and CPR/first-aid certified?
Yes. Every Primrose staff member undergoes a thorough background check before joining our school. All staff are also CPR and first–aid certified, so you can feel confident your child is in safe, prepared hands every day.
What curriculum or educational philosophy do you follow?
Our school uses the proprietary Primrose Schools Balanced Learning® curriculum, which is research-informed and designed to nurture the whole child — intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically. We believe in balancing teacher-guided learning with purposeful play to build a strong foundation for the future.
How do you support school readiness and the transition to kindergarten?
All of our programs are designed in age-appropriate ways to prepare children for kindergarten and beyond. We focus on early literacy and numeracy as well as social-emotional skill development — so children arrive at kindergarten confident and ready to thrive. 96% of Primrose Schools Pre-K students met ASQ benchmarks for problem solving.*
What are your hours of operation?
We are open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am-5:30 pm.
How do you keep parents informed about their child's day?
Connecting school to home is one of the ways we help children thrive. We use the Procare app to share daily updates and photos so you stay connected to your child’s joy, learning and special moments
How do you accommodate children with allergies or special medical needs?
Health and safety is our top priority, and we work closely with families to accommodate allergies and medical needs. We ask that parents provide detailed information during enrollment so we can create a safe plan for their child. All Primrose schools are nut-free facilities.
What is your policy for school closures?
We follow a structured calendar with planned days off communicated in advance for the year. For any unexpected closures — including weather-related closures — we will communicate them as early as possible.
