Welcome to the Primrose School of East Lake!
We are the proud owners Becky and Bill Artemis! Since 2017 when we first became involved with Primrose School at East Lake, myself as the center director and Bill as the chef, we have enjoyed getting to know all our families and children and are so proud of our school! We are continuously amazed at the Primrose approach to education, while providing a nurturing environment for the children in our care.
We are the parents to one daughter who is now grown. We understand the difficulty of finding childcare where parents can feel good about entrusting their care to someone else. I am impressed everyday with the Primrose Balanced Learning Curriculum and we love knowing that we are helping to create a solid foundation in the early education of children. Since family is extremely important to us, we moved to Georgia over 7 years ago to be near them. Bill has his Paramedicine degree from Columbus State College and Becky attended the Ohio State University and the University of Nevada for Business.
We both understand the importance of maintaining a safe and healthy environment in this current climate. Who children become is as important as what they know is a belief that is at the core of our Balanced Learning Approach. Our exclusive early learning approach balances purposeful play with nurturing guidance from teachers to encourage curiosity, creativity, confidence, and compassion. We deliver more than a curriculum; it is a life changing early learning experience for children and their families.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are all staff members background-checked and CPR/first-aid certified?
Yes. Every Primrose staff member undergoes a thorough background check before joining our school. All staff are also CPR and first–aid certified, so you can feel confident your child is in safe, prepared hands every day.
What curriculum or educational philosophy do you follow?
Our school uses the proprietary Primrose Schools Balanced Learning® curriculum, which is research-informed and designed to nurture the whole child — intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically. We believe in balancing teacher-guided learning with purposeful play to build a strong foundation for the future.
How do you support school readiness and the transition to kindergarten?
All of our programs are designed in age-appropriate ways to prepare children for kindergarten and beyond. We focus on early literacy and numeracy as well as social-emotional skill development — so children arrive at kindergarten confident and ready to thrive. 96% of Primrose Schools Pre-K students met ASQ benchmarks for problem solving.*

How do you keep parents informed about their child's day?
Connecting school to home is one of the ways we help children thrive. We use the Procare app to share daily updates and photos so you stay connected to your child’s joy, learning and special moments
How do you accommodate children with allergies or special medical needs?
Health and safety is our top priority, and we work closely with families to accommodate allergies and medical needs. We ask that parents provide detailed information during enrollment so we can create a safe plan for their child. All Primrose schools are nut-free facilities.
What are the qualifications and early childhood education backgrounds of your teachers?
Our teachers are carefully selected for their passion for early childhood education. All lead teachers hold or are working toward a degree or credential in early childhood education or a related field. We also provide ongoing professional development to ensure our educators stay current with the latest research and best practices.
What is the staff-to-child ratio?
We maintain staff-to-child ratios at or below state licensing requirements to ensure every child receives the attention and care they deserve. Ratios vary by age group.
What security measures are in place at drop-off and pick-up?
The safety of your child is our top priority. Our school uses a secure Brivo mobile app entry system, and only authorized individuals are permitted to pick up your child. Authorized individuals must present a valid photo ID to a member of the Leadership Team at pick-up or drop-off to verify who they are.
