Franchise Owners
Mary Nguyen and Chris Hoang
Welcome to the Primrose School of Clear Lake – Where Learning and Care Come Together
We’re Mary Nguyen and Chris Hoang, a husband and wife team and the proud Franchise Owners of the Primrose School of Clear Lake. In 2013, our school opened its doors with no idea what the future would hold. What began with a group of passionate educators—armed with a heart full of hope and a foundation of Primrose training—has grown into something greater than we could have ever imagined.
As parents ourselves, we were first introduced to Primrose when our own children attended a nearby school. We saw firsthand the power of a nurturing, high-quality early education—and it left a lasting impact. Inspired by that experience and a desire to make a deeper, lasting difference in our community, we left behind careers in corporate America to open our own school in Clear Lake.
Over a decade later, we are proud to say that we know what it means to be truly blessed. The future we built—hand in hand with our incredible Primrose community—has exceeded every hope and dream we had. Serving your families has not only been the most rewarding chapter of our lives, but also the most fulfilling years of our careers. Looking back over the past year, we’re proud of several key accomplishments that reflect the heart and mission of Primrose.
In the classroom, our teachers—led by our exceptional Education Coach—have deepened their focus on social-emotional learning and school readiness. At Primrose, we believe who children become is just as important as what they know®. That’s why we’ve worked hard to create an environment where every child, family member, and staff member feels safe, valued, and a true sense of belonging.
We know that children come to us with unique experiences and emotional needs, and by integrating more social-emotional learning into our curriculum, we’re helping them develop critical 21st-century skills. These QI (Quick Intelligence) skills—such as self-regulation, empathy, and perseverance—not only support success in the classroom but also prepare children for life beyond school.
Outside the classroom, our commitment to community impact has continued to grow. Our Spring Fling Fundraising efforts have raised over $40,000 for the Clear Creek Education Foundation! We also deepened our community ties by joining the San Jacinto College of Education Advisory Board, helping to influence the next generation of educators and raise the bar even higher for future Primrose students.
Looking ahead, we’re just as excited about what’s to come. In the near future, you’ll notice some beautiful updates to our school as painting and remodeling projects take shape. But the enhancements aren’t just physical—we’re expanding our educational offerings too. We’re thrilled to introduce Transitional Kindergarten, designed to support children who need either an extra challenge or a bit more time before entering traditional kindergarten. We’re also launching new enrichment programs in our Preschool and Pre-K classrooms—starting with exciting additions like an introduction to chess that will enrich our already well-rounded Balanced Learning® curriculum.
As always, our “why” is all of you. Your incredible families and your brilliant, curious, silly, and sweet children are the reason we show up each day with purpose and joy. From the bottom of our hearts—thank you for trusting us, supporting us, and growing with us for over a decade. We’re beyond grateful, and we can’t wait for another amazing decade ahead.
We serve the Clear Lake, Friendswood, Webster, Pasadena, La Porte, Nassau Bay, and League City areas as the premier early education and child care center. We can’t wait for your family to meet our family of amazing educators and see our beautiful campus. Schedule your tour today!
