Our Preschool Classroom
Your 3-year-old is opening up their world, developing special friendships, learning new words and forming new ideas every day. Through purposeful play, meaningful questions and direct instruction, our Preschool teachers encourage your child to think in new and different ways. Your child will have so much fun that they won’t even realize they’re developing the skills they’ll need for reading and math.

Our Preschool Classroom Teachers & Staff

Ms. Diaz
Ms. Diaz has been with the Primrose of Clear Lake since 2025; however, she has prior experience caring for children through working at other daycare centers and babysitting.
What she enjoys most about young children is watching them grow and use the skills we teach them on their own.
Are You a Horse? by Andy Rash is her favorite children’s book, and she enjoys getting to share it with her students. She loves reading to her students because she believes it’s an effective way for them to make connections from the book to the world around them.
Her priority in the classroom is making sure her classroom is a place where kids can be kids. She wants them to be able to make mistakes without worrying about “getting in trouble”. She wants them to feel loved and be able to be themselves.

Ms. Pena
Before joining the Primrose School of Clear Lake, Ms. Peña has prior experience working with children through babysitting.
What she enjoys most about young children is watching them discover new things that they can expand on in the future.
The Pete the Cat series by James and Kimberly Dean and Eric Litwin are her favorite children’s books, and she enjoys getting to share them with her students. She loves watching how entertained they get by her animated voices and faces as she reads and hopes that they learn to love reading as much as she does.
Her priority in the classroom is ensuring that it remains a second home for both her and her students every day.

Mr. Polk
Mr. Polk has been with the Primrose of Clear Lake since 2025.
What he enjoys most about young children is helping them learn and develop new skills.
The Captain Underpants series by Dav Pilkey are his favorite children’s books, and he enjoys getting to share them with his after-school students. When he isn’t reading to his students you can find him exploring the different centers with them so that he can watch their imagination take flight.
His priority in the classroom is ensuring that each child has their personality and that every day there is something new to explore and learn.
