Primrose School - Chapel Hill at Briar Chapel - Ranesa Pagoo - Assistant Director
Assistant Director

We are thrilled to welcome Ms. Ranesa Pagoo as our new Assistant Director! Ms. Pagoo brings a strong background in early childhood education, classroom teaching, and school leadership, along with a deep understanding and appreciation for the Primrose experience.

Ms. Pagoo began her Primrose journey in Texas as a Lead Teacher and was later promoted to the school’s Leadership Team, where she gained valuable experience supporting children, families, and teachers. After relocating from Texas back to North Carolina, she continued growing as an early childhood leader by serving as an Assistant Director at another preschool.

She holds an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Development and is passionate about helping children learn, grow, and discover the world around them. Ms. Pagoo especially enjoys embracing her inner child and creating joyful learning moments for students. A few of her favorite children’s books include Pete the Cat, The Rainbow Fish, and I Love You to the Moon and Back.

Outside of school, Ms. Pagoo enjoys spending time with family during cousin game nights and relaxing with movie nights.

Leadership Operations Support

Ms. Greiner serves as our Part-Time Leadership Operations Support and remains a cherished part of our leadership team. With more than 30 years of experience in education, she has brought a wealth of knowledge, care, and dedication to every role she has held. Over the past 10+ years in Primrose Schools, she has served first as a Pre-Kindergarten teacher and later as our Education Coach, where she played an important role in supporting our teachers and helping bring the Balanced Learning® curriculum to life in our classrooms. Although she retired from her Education Coach position in January 2026, we are so fortunate that she continues to share her experience and heart for early childhood education in her part-time leadership support role. Ms. Greiner holds an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Dutchess County College in Poughkeepsie, New York.

“I have always loved supporting teachers as they create meaningful learning experiences for children each day. Our school is such a special place where children learn and grow through purposeful play, positive guidance, and a nurturing environment. One of my favorite parts of our curriculum is the focus on character development, because it helps children learn how to be kind, thoughtful, and caring members of the world around them. I truly believe that who children become is just as important as what they know, and I’m proud to continue supporting a school that values both.”

Ashley Champion
Education Coach

Ms. Champion earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from East Carolina University, focusing on child studies, and later obtained her Birth–Kindergarten Licensure from Mount Olive University. After six years of teaching Preschool through 1st Grade and four years leading a state-run NC Pre-K program, she joined our school as a Kindergarten teacher and, after a year of inspiring work with her students, was promoted to Education Coach.

A familiar face in our community, Ms. Champion was part of our founding team when the school first opened and knows the Primrose values and approach to learning well. She is passionate about understanding how children grow and reach important milestones and believes in the power of positive talk and conscious discipline. She noticed a need to strengthen children’s communication skills and provide the resources to foster an enriching environment. “The classroom should be a place where autonomy is introduced and children are free to make mistakes and grow.”

Ms. Champion encourages active participation among children, teachers, and families—“We are a team, and together we can set personal, social, and educational goals.” She strives to create classrooms where children feel confident to explore, make mistakes, and grow every day.

Ms. Champion has a huge mama heart that fuels her passion for children. She is married to Dustin Champion, and together they have a blended family—Dustin’s oldest daughter Lexie (13), their son Dawson (6), and daughter Chloe (3). Much of their family time is spent on the soccer field, a shared passion among the children. She believes family support is key to success both inside and outside the classroom and is a big fan of active, hands-on learning and S.T.E.A.M. exploration.

Welcome to Primrose Schools!

We are the proud owners, Gaurav and Anna Sharma, of Primrose School of Chapel Hill at Briar Chapel!

We moved to the Research Triangle Park area six years ago from the UK. We fell in love with the community and decided to make it our home. When searching for child care for our daughter, many of our friends highly recommended Primrose Schools and we quickly learned about the strong reputation the brand holds. We were impressed with how well thought out and designed every element of the Primrose environment was from the classroom layout to the curriculum.

As parents, we have experienced the challenge of finding the right school for our children and we understand how difficult and emotional this process can be. We toured many local preschools in the pursuit of a safe and nurturing environment for our daughter, and we felt the Primrose curriculum resonated with us the most. Now, we have seen the positive impact a Primrose education has on children.

At Primrose, we believe who children become is as important as what they know. Our exclusive early learning approach balances purposeful play with nurturing guidance from teachers to encourage curiosity, creativity, confidence and compassion. We deliver more than a curriculum; it’s a life-changing early learning experience for children and their families.

We enjoy meeting new people and we love to spend our free time with our children and dog or at the gym. We are excited to meet you and your family!

Our family would love to meet yours.
